The "New in NJ" threads

    First, I'd like to say that, as per BA's forum code of conduct, the intent of this is post is not to "Complain about moderation."

    Rather, it is clear that, in some respect, the aforementioned threads have broken some rule meriting their deletion. The threads seemed nonthreatening, void of inappropriate material or anything of the like, and I think many found them useful. Precisely because of the discrepancy between my perception of the thread and its apparent unlawfulness, I'm genuinely curious as to what it was that crossed the line. If the offense can be avoided and we get an incredibly helpful thread, we all win.

    The first thread turned into a lot of bickering amongst users and "what are you drinking" style posts; we have LNBA for the latter. It was reported by several users and removed as a result. The second one complained about moderation, as did the third one. This has been conveyed to the OPs.

    We don't remove many threads, but if you don't want a thread to get removed ... follow the simple rules, keep it on track and report any forms of abuse early.
