The Mikkeller version? The FFF version is not being distributed.

Yeah, that's an interesting question...Fischman's (the store in question, I'm assuming) e-mailed this yesterday:

    Special Release Tomorrow

    Saturday (8/11)

    12pm

Three Floyds RISGOOP 22oz Email Club Only

Bring in this email in order to purchase your bottle!
    While supplies last!

It says, "brewed and bottle at three Floyds". On the bottle picked up from the store. So looks like this is seeing some distro.

Just because a couple of stores in the city have it doesn't necessarily mean it was obtained through the appropriate distribution channels. There's a two case limit on the bombers, so they could have sent some mules to the brewpub. It's possible they obtained it another more legitimate way. I always find it suspicious when a few random stores get a FFF release that no one else has and, to my knowledge, is brewpub-only. The only stores I know that have it now are Fischman's, and, according to another thread, Puerto Rican Liquors. Just so you know it's $15 at the brewpub. I'd be interested to see what they are charging.

Perhaps I'm wrong about this, but I understood Risgoop to be a brewpub-only release which goes along with past history.

Everything that FFF puts out whether distributed or brewpub-only has that phrase on the side.

I was just stating that it was the fff version and not the mikkeller.

Edit. And the bottle was 18 something after tax.

Yeah, I'm curious about how a couple stores got 'em...but it would surprise me to learn that Puerto Rico Food & Liquor and/or Fischman's went around distro to get these. Other stores, not so much. But it seems odd that Fischman's would advertise it if they were selling it without having gone through the proper channels. Another store I'm thinking of sold Zombie Dust, Rich Life & Rye Da' Lightning but they were sure to keep them off their Beermenus page.

It's perfectly possible, that unlike Ruggoop, Risgoop is going to see some distribution and these stores got it first or they are the only ones that will get it, which is highly unusual. However, I thought it was brew-pub only. I'm no expert on distro laws, etc., so I'm not going to make any accusations.

However, I know that Rye Da' Lightning and Rich Life were brewpub-only.
