Have you had your #17 yet? If I had liked mine I would have walked right back to the store to get #3 and #24.

Paradox #24 was not bad. From the description, I was hoping it would be similar to ToD w/C&V, except with cacao replacing the vanilla. It came off more as a milder tartness with notes of cherry, tobacco, and leather. If you were looking for it, the cacao peeked its head later as it warmed.

As for the other two Paradox release - we all can figure out what a sour stout and dry hopped sour are gonna taste like. I wasn't as interested in picking those up because those styles can already be found in the market. Those struck me like they would be equal at best to something like Le Terroir or ToD, so why not just go with the surer thing?

That all being said, I'm glad people are at least talking about Paradox and that they made their way to CA. This was the first I had heard of them, so I looked them up and saw they had some interesting offerings. Sounds like they might be kind of hit or miss since they're largely experimental, but I would be very interested to try something like their salted grapefruit or watermelon sours they put out since they're not combinations you see everyday here.

Any reason why Rye Like an Eagle is hitting the distro even though it's been out for a couple of months? Moving too slow at Beachwood? (which is a shame since it's definitely their best barrel aged beer since BA Full Malted Jacket)

I just have to put my 2 cents here on the latest Ruination 2.0... It sucks. Inferior beer to the original. And it's stupid gimmicky marketing to call this beer "ruination" it's like "new coke". I mean, why not just call the beer by some new name instead of tricking consumers into thinking they are getting something else. Anyways, hate to be a hater but Stone is really screwing the pooch lately. (aside from enjoy by 6 packs which rock)
