The OC/LA release thread.

For those in the dead zone of Irvine: hit First Class Pizza in Woodbury for the first time in a while and had BL Berlinear w/ blueberries & Founders Breakfast Stout on tap. They also had Man's Milk and other local offerings from 4 sons. The beer fridge was stronger than I remember - fairly fresh El Segundo, BL Strangematter & Some Assembly, Deschutes Black Butte anni. For in-house or to-go.

 

Firestone Walker in Venice has Parajava, Parabola, Velvet Merkin and 19 all in stock. They have a system where they log your DL so its 1pp of each limited release. As far as I can tell, they have way more than enough to go around.

 

Today is Day One of ESBC Ka Pau! First time bottled.

 

Jacob is killing it at First Class...One of my favorite places for lunch.

 

Let's carpool to Venice.

 

My local BevMo reported that they *may* get a second shipment next week. Seems to contradict what I've read on these forums, but they also have been hesitant to report they are getting stuff they were not sure of. So it seems like they are expecting it.

 

KBS bottles sold out at sunset beer. They still have it on tap, though.

 

Anyone else start seeing Hoppy Birthday at trader joes? Saw it at the Irvine UTC location and was pretty surprised

 

Surprised but also not. It's a Green Flash beer now.

 

Yeah. Not that surprising when it sits on shelves everywhere now (also because the new bottles are inferior to the old ones).

 

GF Alpine is pretty much everywhere now.

 

Hop Box is my favorite GF/Alpine release so far. Last sixer of Duet wasn't too bad.

 

Hop Box is excellent. Would love to see it transition into sixers.

 

But they are limiting you to 1 bottle. So you need to bring your non-beer friends to help you buy a couple if that is what you are after.

Otherwise, for qty 1 they seem to have a ton of it.

 

if anyone is looking for libertine brewing.. Wholefoods DTLA just got them today. Gose, Saison, Wild IPA & Rye Saison.

 

Check hill top in hb for Parabola. I think I saw a few on Friday.

 

The wild ipa is great! Mr. K and el cerrito have them as well.
