The OC/LA release thread.

Chasing FW boxes at Costco is a fool's errand in my experience. Limited availability combined with no limits (usually) and employees hiding/buying them before they make it to the floor means it comes down to luck.

 

Yep, I was chatting with an employee recently who bragged about buying one of the four cases they got. FYI, not sure when Stickee Monkee will start showing up (it was released at FW locations today), but it's conceivable that it'll be at WFM by next weekend—in time for the 20%-off-bombers sale, which would put it at the same price as Costco.

 

I thought it was "select" bombers?

 

WF El Segundo had about 5 Stickee Monkee's on the shelf and like 4 cases on the cart this morning. Also had a couple FW Bretta Roses. None out in Santa Monica on 24th

 

If it's like past 20% off sales, "select" means "almost all." I don't remember the sale ever overlapping with FW Vintage beers being on the shelf, so it's possible those will be excluded. I'm hoping not.

 

I know it's not even hazy, and there's not bottle shares in the parking lot, but I'll just leave this here...

 

Debating on stopping by noble in a few hours to try out I Love It! and Galaxy Showers or going to OOTP for the BL tap takeover for some FO. Any one try the noble offerings yet?

 

Just had some FO at OOTP pizza, unaware of the tap takeover I stopped by and saw the tap right in front of me.. no doubt it's good.

 

Will someone going to OOTPP please let us know how crazy it is, when/if stuff is dust, and if it's worth showing up?

I'm wondering what size legs are going to be used at all the various Beer Week events (and yes FO especially). Hoping they are all full size so more people get a shot at some of the more rare beers.

 

Damn, it's on now? Maybe I'll drive up there before the game. Was it crazy @Streetkid?

 

I was the _only_ person there. Apparently they only recently opened up for lunch hours which explains why it was dead. They said they expect it to pick up after 4.

Anaheim. A friend was there about an hour ago and said it was pretty crowded. He said FO was stil on though.

 

FO is being tapped now at Hollingshead

 

I'm confused, weren't these events supposed to start later in the week (today for Hollingshead, wednesday for Ootp pizza)? Or am I reading the schedule wrong.

 

It's like you guys jinxed it! Noble collaboration with Cellarmaker in cans this Thursday at 2pm, supposed to be haaaaazzzzzzyyyyyy.

 

Last night was the Bottle Logic tap takeover, and Wednesday will be the Bruery tap takeover, both at Out of the Park. Today is the "start" of OC beer week at Hollingshead.

 

FO is on at Haven as well. Doesnt feel bad as a price **** than hollingshead. 8.75/6oz at Haven, 15/8oz at Hollingshead.

 

In case nobody follows on other social media, Haven has a tap takeover including Darkstar november and leche borracho.
