Thank goodness they got a cool billion dollars to pad the extra expenses of opening new location. I hope they have some left.

Why would anyone go to Constellation Brands when Beachwood is a stone's throw away? #yesbittermuch

The New LB Ballast Point is a place you can go hang out with your girlfriend and family overlooking the ocean. Should be a nice alternative to Schooner or Later 2 hour lines. We all know BW rules.

I might be heading there in 15 minutes. But coming from LAX. So depends on traffic on 405. Plus a very long day at work. If not today then tomorrow for sure.

Ballast Point is nice inside and the outside deck is awesome. It's totally packed and took me 15 minutes of waving down tenders at the bar to get a sculpin. It's crazy packed hear. Still contractors trying to finish up. Should be a nice addition to the area.

Glad you made it @Beerooster. I did make it over finally after a little over an hour on the 405. After another 5 minutes in the parking lot I said fuk it and left for home. I was going to hit BWSB for lunch, but that was gone. So double fuk it. Enjoying a JO next to the pool. I'll try again tomorrow. Or after the 4th weekend. I'm sure it's going to be there for awhile. Unless the big one hits soon.

JO might be the best and worst abbreviation for a beer.

Well, I guess it would be weirder if you were enjoying a SHIT next to the pool.

Taplist had all the standards, several Calm Before the Storm variants, a few R&D beers. Protip: There are two bars downstairs and one upstairs...use any other than the main bar

Honestly even before the new brewhouse, Kern distro was pretty consistent in the IE at least.

Arrived at 10:45 to a short (< 10 people) line. First few hours were pretty mellow, but social media blew the place up and by 2pm ticket times out of the kitchen were approaching an hour. They eventually caught up and got ahead again, but by then the lines to get beer at all three bars had grown to 20+.

As mentioned above, the interior is beautiful with an unparalleled view of the channel. I do believe every piece of glass in the place is brand new. The topside deck is stunning, very large, and the perfect place to soak up some sun (just keep that IPA out of direct sunlight).

    Here is the beer menu:

Items marked * are only available at the main bar, while beers designated ** are only available in the lower patio bar and the upper deck.

The POS system is pretty slick, when they open your tab, it is valid at each bar (and the gift shop, naturally).

I imagine this weekend will be pretty crazy and they'll be busier than a Bar rescue stress test, but knowing BP, they will iron out the kinks fairly quickly.

Thx for the beer menu update. It's not on the website yet. Only a short food menu. I'm gonna try again today after the mad rush on the 405 to get out of town for the 4th. Otherwise tomorrow when they open at 11am.

Went last night at 530 and stayed until closing. Definitely some long lines. The main line for beer took 45 minutes, but they were also pouring drinks cater-corner to the main line. Halfway through the main line I grabbed drinks there and continued to wait in the main line. Double fisting all night with a wait like that. The other bar lines were much less short, but still waiting 15 minutes. We were able to get a nice seat for 7 or 8 people outside downstairs, luckily. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there is no wait list for seating. All seating is first come first serve. The place is big and nice, amazing views from the southernmost building. Will definitely make it a regular spot once the initial wave of madness passes. And obviously another spot to fill a growler.
