Bummer. I actually have just 1 from '15 and was going to try it when the '16 came out to see if I would get more.

How did you end up with 4 of something you don't even like? Just high hopes that you would like it?

I liked Helldorado a lot at first, but opened one about a month ago and it just didn't taste right. All the interesting floral and butterscotch notes were gone, all that was left was a generic barrel flavor. It was definitely stored properly but perhaps it was a bad bottle to begin with. I still have 2 or 3 more so hopefully that's the case.

I was in Buellton for the release and had a flight of 3-4 years of Helldorado, can't remember exactly how many, but the older was definitely more complex.

It's always nice to snag some of their BA bottles at Costco!

Helldorado was just ok, which made it a disappointment to me, within the context of the vintage series. I'll give it another chance this year, but I'd much rather see the return of Double DBA, or a bottling of Bravo.

BevMo in orange has about 10 bottles of Lost Abbey Framboise de Amorosa if anyone's looking for it.

Even before Helldorado was bottled, it was among my least favorite of FW's barrel-aged offerings. It's useful as a component to blending their anniversary beers, but not as exciting as beers like Parabola as a stand-alone. I, too, would welcome Bravo over Helldorado.

Looks like Unsung Brewing's grand opening is Aug. 5. Hoping there's more to them than just IPAs.

Pretty sure this is related to the random Half Acre kegs that showed up around SD last month. I wouldn't expect anything more than this but I'd love to be wrong.

This is likely it. I think it was because of some weird rule that they are required to be around town somewhere before they are on at a festival or something. CA ABC....shit gets weirder every day.
