Fingers crossed that HA cans start showing up in So Cal. Even if it's only SD area it's a start. Maybe we will see Pipeworks in a year or 2.

yeah they do have an ABC license, wonder if it has to do with the Full Pint Anniversary like you said above about pouring at festivals?

We haven't seen any other Half Acre since those few kegs were down here so it felt like a one and done deal before the festival. I thought it was mentioned somewhere on this site, maybe in the MT thread, about why and how they showed up here since all of the big beer bar players had a few kegs. It was nice to be drinking Daisy Cutter at O'Brien's and watch the GI crew come up and allow Tyson to tap his keg of Prop'14 during migration week.

That's a bummer to hear. I have a few. Loved it on renegade. Will break one open for testing.

Beachwood BBQ will have a special Half Acre release party August 4. Says LA debut. But I can't find any news or info on Half Acre site.

"The talented folks from Half Acre Brewery in Chicago are coming to Los Angeles! So, it only makes sense that they stop by Beachwood BBQ and Brewing in Long Beach and bring us some of their incredible beers. Thursday, August 4th at 6pm we will be tapping Daisy Cutter- Hoppy Pale Ale, Akira Shogun- American Wheat Ale, Get Right- Kolsch, and Navaja- Double IPA. Come get a taste of some of the best beer from Chicago!"

Haven't seen any but curious how this beer tastes. Sugary sour?

I believe the last batch was also available in 6-ers, but was only distributed to the chains e.g. TW's. I hope they spread some of it around better this time.

One of the worst beers I've ever had. Literally pours like slime

That's pretty much what I imagined. Sour, sugary gummy straws in a beer sounds like a bad idea. Valiant has put out some decent stuff in the past but this candy sour line is lowest common denominator.

I'm assuming you had it out of the bottle? I've been hearing decent things from tap. In fact, your input is the only negative one I've heard so far. But you make it sound so bad I don't want to pull the trigger.

I've only been seeing Unfiltered EB's in bombers. Anyone see them in 6ers?

May stop by Valiant if traffic routes me that way this week... expectations are low considering the other wild efforts from them I've tried (Foamosa and Zoinks) were remarkably underwhelming.

Was pretty disappointed as their other offerings are pretty solid (Cherny, IPAs, etc).
