$7 for a session IPA bomber seems silly. I think Knee Deep is grasping at straws here.

 

Knee Deep has always been above average in $$. But it's Knee Deep.

 

By the way...if you guys want to avoid the Friday craziness for our grand opening, we are soft opening tomorrow and you're welcome to come in. Opening at 5:30, closing at 10:00. Just thought I'd let ya'll know because I think Friday is going to be a mad house.

 

Yup, and word I got from the Lagunitas people is that 6 packs are in the works! at a $15 dollar price point no less. I have my fingers crossed!

 

Anyone know of any special events today for National IPA Day?

Beachwood is hosting the Half Acre event as they hit CA for the first time, but haven't seen much else.

Smog City just brought back Hoptonic but don't think that's necessarily for IPA Day.

Naja's doesn't have anything on social media or their website as far as I can tell, but wondering about other places too.

Will be driving from Santa Barbara to LAX later today.

 

Noble has half off Galaxy Showers growler phillz and a special piece of tiny glassware.

 

I think everyday is IPA day.
LAX? Are you spending the night in the LAX area? Your best bet would be BWLB. I'll be heading to Noble's from LAX laters in the afternoon for some growler fills. Might even check out Unsung.

 

I hear El Segundo Brewing makes a few IPA's right by LAX

 

Yeah, I'll stay out by LAX and fly out in the morning. Usually stop at Father's Office in Santa Monica on my way from Santa Barbara. Once I get to the LA area usually hit up Torrance and/or LB breweries. Sometimes HPB instead. Rarely go all the way to Anaheim since it's on the far side of town.

 

They will only distro in LA.

On Stone's site it shows 6 packs....but could be only at their company stores. TW shows only bombers.

 

I'd guess so, since we get the bombers in SoCal usually. Also the six pack thing is supposed to be part of Lagunitas massive barrel program expansion. They had just taken over the winery/warehouse next door to their Petaluma location and were working to fill it up with barrels.

Hey, so if anyone was looking... they have westy 12 at hi times. $29.99 a bottle so I passed. But if you haven't had it its definitely cheaper than a trip to Belgium

 

Just getting back from Noble's. Yes, growler fills of GS at 1/2 off. Must be getting close to the bottom. That's okay. I'm sure it'll still be good. Had a pour if Juicy J. Very nice. I will be going back for a growler fill of JJ once they announce it, if they announce it. Would be nice to see it canned. Nice glassware.

 

Yeah, that price is nuts... it was 12 euro per bottle at most bars (not even takeaway) in Bruges when I was there last month.

 

It was 14 or 16 euros at one of the bottle stores in Brussels back in March. Didn't bother. Had plenty of Cantillion's bottles I brought back.
