The OC/LA release thread.

Getting this back on track with an OC/LA beer, Highland Park's Yard Beer #2 has been on since last night, sour wheat ale with herbs, weeds, and citrus. It's really good and HPB is sure helping me forget the fact that Terreux hasn't opened yet.

 

Any word on where to find the Modern Times Black House Coconut/Cocoa in OC? I saw WF Laguna Niguel had some, but anyone find it anywhere else? And, how much?

 

I picked up a few of these from Total Wine HB earlier, as well as Lagunitas High West-ified they had quite a few cases of the MT BH and they said they have the Lagunitas bottles in the back. I think both were $8.99.

 

Good call. Picked some up this AM. The MT is on the front end cap of the second column and the Lagunitas is on the first rear end cap of the first column of beers.

 

went last night and tried it. i'm not even a sour guy but i enjoyed it. i feel so fortunate we have Highland Park Brewing on the East Side. wish some of the other East Side areas would get with the program

it's kind of sad (though good for HPB) but it got me thinking, Highland Park Brewing has done more interesting beers in the short time they've been open than Eagle Rock has done in all of their 6 years (or whatever it is). still want to support ERB, but they need to step it up a bit to keep me interested

Picked up both today TW HB, MT black house was 7.49 and lagunitas was 8.99

looks like the new game of thrones beer from ommegang is hitting shelves today. saw craft beer kings has it, but since i wont spend my money there I'll wait for mr k's to get it

 

yeah I only use their Insta to see what is hittin shelves

Pasadena Vendome had Sanct, Supp, and Consec as of noon last Thursday. Don't know quantities.

 

Why not just wait till Costco shelves has GoT beers sitting for months to get it there?

The Ommegang GoT beers aren't anything special and not worth seeking out unless you get off on the sticker on the beer you're drinking matching the show you're watching.
