In Irvine for the weekend from MN. Any suggestions on where to shop or drink? I'd really like to grab some Pliny or Parabola while out here but no idea if that's a pipe dream...

 

Taphunter app on your phone. Go to OC section and apply your beer choice and see what pops up in your area. Or looks what close in your area. You could head up to Noble/the Bruery/Bottle Logic area. Provisions Market might have Pliny on tap or bottles. Tustin Brewing Co usually has pliny on tap. Check their beer board or on TapHunter.

If you look on TapHunter you might find Parabola on tap soon along with BCS 2013 in HB.

Thanks! I was actually able to land a few bottles of Pliny at WF but may try for a few more based on your suggestions so I can share at a Dark Lord Day. Love the area out here, though coming from the Midwest to look into a potential relocation I'm blown away by the cost of living. Not sure how you guys can afford beer after mortgages or rent.

 

There's no need for mortgage or rent. We just move our tents from one bottle release line to the next.

 

If you're still around, Native Son Alehouse in Santa Ana still had a ton of Modern Times on tap, including BA Monsters Park, as of Saturday night. The Anthill Pub (on UCI campus) usually has good stuff at cheap prices (cash only) and Hollingshead in Orange could be worth the trip too

Costco on Rosecrans has Hop Concept Citrus and Piney IPA for 5.25
Pretty damn cheap. I thought this beer was comin in May .. Anyways it's here, have at it

Had their Dank & Sticky IPA a couple months ago when it came out, thought it was very good.

 

They're an offshoot brand of the Port/Lost Abbey people, I believe. I've only ever seen the green label bottle hit stores.
