I've seen it with H or CH to start, single K, double K, and every permutation of the above.

Didn't know anything about the K's. As long as we are learning here, what about the latke's? They're like potato pancakes right? My grandma always made a Norwegian dish that looks almost exactly like the pictures.

Probably lefse, it's quite a bit different than latke. Lefse is made with milk and latke is pretty much just potatoes, egg, and onions. Lefse is also quite a bit flatter. Have both Jewish and northern European ansestory and love both.

No. I know lefse. It's pretty much just flatbread, like a tortilla. This stuff was fried in a pan and looked a lot like the pictures. Anyway, ever do the lutefisk? In a couple weeks my manhood will be tested again with that stuff. It's a ridiculous thing to put in your mouth. Cheers!

Don't care for it, I can eat it to be polite if somebody offers it, but would never willfully choose it.

Nobody cares for it. It's horrific. Even whoever made it knows that. It's just what's done.

@frekky wow man. super kind offer. I would absolutely take you up on it in a different dimension. But I'm actually Bostonian, and actually used to work in Framingham. I'll be back for family visits in the next few weeks, and plan on hitting their new location. So pumped to check it out and pickup some beer to bring back. I will keep my eyes peeled for the glass. If I'm down there at a reasonable time/day, we should try to do a beer.

    If it's a reasonable time/day I'm always game to hoist a glass!
Check out the wood-fired pizza and some of the tap-room only BA Framinghammer's they have. Pretty fantastic stuff. They had a chipotle framinghammer on draft a few weeks ago that was excellent.

Finally got home at about 11:30 last night. Didn't get to light with the kids, but at least I got to drink this 2-year old beauty by candlelight:

First year in many not gonna cook latkes for the family. Sorta weird to cook a batch for myself.

Found out the ex wife took off with all our menorahs. Shoulda looked before Saturday. Am going into town today, hope to get one and to post pic. Nice to see all the other pics in this thread.

Unlike some who posted, I always realized a lot of us Jews are into fine beer. L'Chaim!
