Glad they opened the tent to keep us comfy and warm....

7am and a couple of hundred people in line.

 

Yeah i rolled up 15mins ago and...yeah... screw that. It looked like NOBODY was in the "heated tent all comfy and warm". Like others have said, at LEAST 150-200 people.

So, I grabbed a small breakfast and headed to the office (which luckily is right up the road) to eat and get a couple hours of work done, and I'll head back around 9:30 and see whats left.
The way I see it, coming here I don't really have TOO WORSE of odds rather than waiting there LOL!
If i'm meant to get what I hope to get, it will still be there. Its in fates hands now...
Im very curious at what time the first, say, 50 people got there...

 

These releases are gettin redic. People are getting to these things way too early.

 

It was my understanding slept in their cars and were there basically all night. Pathetic.

rumor has it all those that lined up before 8 will be thrown off property for not following protocol.

There were about 10 people that did this.

 

"You can line up inside the heated tent beginning at approx 6am. We will hand out numbered order forms at 8:00am; sales will begin at 9:00am."
Im gonna go ahead and call BS on that one...

But....why?

I mean, with the exception of the Solar, this release isnt all that more exciting than last years and there were 1/5th the turnout. Is there something im missing?

 

I plan on showing up at 11ish, getting whatever is left, and having a good time. You know, like this event is supposed to be enjoyed.

Im gonna shift my (re)arrival time and try and get a buddy from work to come up there with me to do the same.
I still have Forbidden, Mud on firkin and Raw Barleywine that I didnt get to last night...

I don't know where you got that statement from my post but you are incredibly off base. I want 2010 solar. I'm likely not getting it. I personally find it to be asinine to sleep in your car during a Michigan winter for any beer. I get it, you want to be sure you get the bottles you want especially if you travelled for this. There comes a point where sanity and desire cross and people have jumped passed that line. That was my point. My sincerest apologies if you were offended that I think these people are morons.

 

Arrived at 725, order #240. Just a little more crowded than eisbock release....

 

Yea i'm still not showing up until 11:30 ish i will take what i get and enjoy the day just like i have for the past few years

 

Arrived at 8:30 and number 279.

 

They started letting people in around 7:40am to fill out numbered order forms. I lined up at 7am and was #174. By 8:15am there was no line and people were in the tent drinking and socializing.

 

I was the last in the main lot @ 5:45. Got #74 Getting to old for this stuff.
