These 6 packs are turning out to be something not to bitch about except for the amounts.

 

Eating only popcorn yesterday left me with a skull-splitter this morning. ISO: Ibuprofen.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

 

Checked my bottles. The label for BBBW wasn't adhered completely. So it could be anything.

I will say that going to a more plasticized pressure sensitive label is a nice improvement.

 

Anyone know if there was anything mildly interesting still on tap at the end of the night?

 

What would you expect. They had to lick them all like stamps. They're a little behind in technology. Lol, j/k Kuhnhenns

 

I have a Braggot without a label.

Hoping it's really a KBE.

 

This was my first bottle release, and after reading about what a cluster previous years had been, I was very pleasantly surprised. Arrived about 5:30am and was maybe 30th in line. Tent was open and heated by 7:30. Folks in line were cordial, saw no line jumpers. Got my full allotment, pint glass, and a pour each of KBE and KRE in hand by 11:30. Staff even carried my case over to the bar for me since my hands were full.

In addition to the KBE and KRE, I got a chance to try the BB4D, BBBW, and BBAIS before I had to hang it up. BBAIS was the standout for me. Also managed to score a couple bottles of KRE, which they still had available behind the bar.

 

I saw plenty of line jumping, people cutting in front of dozens of people

 

So much this. Totally my experience.

Shame about butthurting. Its amazing how entitled people are. Listen, its 2014. Its beer. Get used to it.

 

So why is Kuhnhenn hiding the fact that the Bb4d is 2013?. All of my bb4d has the 4 scaped off with the sticker placed over the date... weird.

Doubt it. They didnt make 4d this year and saved last years....

 

I don't know what year it was brewed, but it was bottled recently. I saw labeling the bottles, and scraping off part of the label. I just assumed they were reusing old labels.

 

I've seen other markets (like cigar markets) use previous year labels and just update with an added sticker. It's possible this happened. Vertical must be done I would assume.

 

Like I said, I don't care when it was made, but why hide it. I looked in the release forums and looked for a date but none was given. Clearly trying to hide it wasn't this year's bb4d.


On another topic, all beers in the 6 pack taste ezcellent and can get you very drunk if drank within 2 hours.

 

I saw none of this. I was ~105 (just missed on the free glass) and wondered if there would be line cutting once the chairs were folded up & put away but didn't see any at all

 

Dont worry, it was a $6 pint glass
