My family and I are backpacking in the Rockies. I have enough time to hit only one beer store in the Estes Park or Lyons area. Please, any suggestion of a store with the best beer selection? Hoping for some Russian River but not a dealbreaker. Thanks!!!
Any idea which way you're taking to get there? There aren't any 5-star stores in those two towns, but you're likely to pass one on the way. At least depending on which route you take.
Finished backpacking on the west side of the Rockies. Will be car camping just south of Estes Park. When we drive home we will be going through Estes park, Lyons and Longmont. I’ve considered Longmont.
At this moment while we pack up, we’re not quite sure if we are we are continuing north on 34 to get around the National Park or South on 40. We camp ad Allenspark.
Never been in. They're showing some RR photos in their Google profile, but I wouldn't expect to roll up on fresh Pliny at many small stores. It's more common than it used to be, but it still tends to sell quickly. Their "ion" sours might be on the shelf, though.
You can't get Russian River on that route. Everything between Fort Collins and Boulder is a black hole for their newer distribution channels. The best Estes stores are Bart's and Rambo's, though. Best in Lyons is Lumber Liquor. Wyatt's by a long shot if you go through Longmont. If you do head south on 40 and end up cutting through Denver on the way out, that's a whole other ballgame.
