Honestly, this question is rather easy for me anyways......The one that got away is......drum roll......Evil Twin's Double Barrel Jesus. There is a large hole deep in my soul because I failed to get some. Fact, just thinking about it now, almost brings me to tears. Even more Jesus is my most favorite stout to date. Lots of great stouts out there, but this one is mine.

I let a bottle of cantillion, westie 12, and upland cherry lambic all slip through my fingers. I too was early in my BA days and didn't know what i had in my hands.

Went to a bar for a few drinks before getting Pliny the Younger across the street. Didnt realize they were having a sour fest there. After a few great drinks from Rare Barrel and 10 Barrel, we left without realizing they had Peche n Brette

Have you been able to pick up / seek out Sucaba since or no?

Peche n Brett, I have always seen Logsdon on the shelves here in AZ, never took any notice to them. I noticed one day that there was a whole shelf nifty looking orange bottles, but not nifty enough for me to buy, apparently. Stupid stupid stupid...

Like one other post, for me it was BCBS Rare. I had already had several versions - regular, coffee, and vanilla and could NOT see why this one was that much more expensive so I passed. Could have had several bottles because in one little shop I frequent, no one was buying it early. Should have made the investment!

I was at my friends' beautiful DIY wedding at a campsite in Maine. They had brought a 12oz. of this beer I had seen sitting on their shelf for over a year at their place, every time I went to hang out. I had been properly hydrating, knowing I was going to be drinking a solid bit of the groom's brother's tapped homebrews, and went outside to find the bathroom.

Along the way, I bumped into the bride's brothers, who were playing on a large wooden ropeswing. We sat and pushed one another for a while, and it was nice to chill with them.

    Came inside, and this happens:

    Girlfriend: Where were you?
Steve: Swinging with Crystal's brothers, why?
Girlfriend: "Guess what I just tried!!!!"
    Steve: Uh...
    Girlfriend: Kate the Great!
    Steve: (stoneface)...uh...what the hell? Serious?
Girlfriend: Yup, they did a toast and passed around a bit of it to their closest friends.
Steve: Oh my god this is insane how was it?
Girlfriend: Good, I think, I wasn't really paying that much attention.

I have never had PTY, but most people would likely say way past it's prime at 3 months old. Why did the bar sit on it for so long?

Not a major one, but I don't see a ton of Bruery stuff. Went into a bottle shop about a month ago and passed on Sour in the Rye and Oude Tarte. Kicking myself I went back a few weeks later hoping to pick it up but no such luck. The owner actually said it was a mistake when they got them and that they probably wouldn't again. They carry White Oak and Bois, but those other two he said it's the first time they ever had them in. I got some other nice stuff instead, but missed my chance on the Bruery stuff.

I've missed so many things, mostly because of other commitments (work, budgeting)... Some of it came back eventually, but there will no doubt be other times and opportunities.

    There's always more great beer...

Sour in the Rye & Oude Tart are normal releases that are distributed. Shops out on LI have them. Let me know if you want any - I can pick them up. Work in Manhattan, live on LI.

I was living in Allston, MA when I turned 21, almost 9 years ago. I was into decent craft beer with my first legal purchase being a sixer of SNPA but I'll never know what I missed at Blanchard's and then Marty's liquors, or Sunset Grill. Dumb.

Was living in NH during the best years of KtG and still don't know why I never even tried to get a bottle. Dumb.

Lived just north of Tampa for more than a year and never once visited CCB. STUPID.

I'm one of the dummies who turned down the opportunity to purchase Rare because of the price. Plus, I used to overlook Cantillons and 3Fs all the time when they were readily available because I hadn't gotten into sours at the time. On a slightly related liquor note, I passed up an Old Rip Van Winkle 23yr decanter set not once, not twice, but 3 times. It was gone by the time I decided the price was justifiable. Still kick myself over that one to this day.

When I turned 21, I was in Chicago and decided to stock up on beers I couldn't get in Iowa. I powered through the aisles and ended up seeing a bunch of boxes marked down with some weird name in boxes. It looked fancy, but I decided to move on as I'd never heard of it before. That beer ended up being Sucaba (I'd not heard of the name change) and was available for about ten dollars a bottle. I've still not had it since then, but it's a beer I'm hoping to be able to pick up once I move back later this summer.

Almost going on two years ago, I was sitting in Tired Hands with an empty Whole Foods growler and thinking I should get a growler to go. Yep, I miss those simple days and simple times.
