Luckily picked up a quarter barrel for my kegerator. It's getting better each week.

Wow, apparently he does cater to children like yourself. If my post questioning why certain bottle shops have such restrictive policies on selling hard-to-come-by beers or if my opinion on shops that I favor has reduced you to this level, then I'm at a loss for words. I'm sure there is a cliquish high school that would welcome someone of your mentality with open arms...

I believe you dug your own grave there. And the comment about Brawleys avoid didn't help either.

You are the one who felt the need to take another jab at Brawley in this thread because you didn't like the responses you got in your original post. And you call me childish. Pot, meet kettle!

I appreciate this thread and the other one. It's made me realize that, should I ever own a bottle shop of my own, I'll make certain my limited beer policy is well known and posted for all to see.

We reserve the right to hold limited-release beers for our loyal customers who keep us in business. We feel no obligation to sell said beers to cherry-picking douchebags with an overblown sense of entitlement.

    Thank you
    Management

EDIT: To be completely on topic, I did score The Oracle from my local shop completely due to the "taking care of loyal customers" angle. Owners even texted me and asked if I wanted it.

Critter, why so mysterious about your favorite shop in Charlotte? If your previous quotes are accurate im sure they would just LOVE you to send everyone there to get some Oracle. Unless they already tweet and facebooked it all away.

Just want to clarify: the Critter of whom I made mention in the other thread, along with his glorious Scuppernongs, is a different Critter.

Yeah right! That guy told me he reserved scuppernongs only for his most loyal customers.

To which I replied: "Them's sour grapes."

Well, maybe if you showed other Critter that you were there to support a local business and not just truck-chasing the latest limited farmers' market release, he might know you by name and give you some Scuppernongs. Hell, I went in the other day and got some dark muscadines. Just walked in on a Thursday afternoon and, boom, muscadines!

Not sure when it landed because despite my weekly checking & being on 2 "waiting lists" I never got a call. But I was sold a single bottle last Friday (bottled 8/10/12 but still outstanding!).

Still have the majority of a case that's been kept very cold available to me, although pretty F'ing expensive. Msg me if any of you down southers want to set up a trade.

The sales rep for savannah that comes to my work had said we were getting This Goes To 11 instead of Oracle and that GA got around 30 cases.

Not a bad trade-off if this is the case, although the releases were really far separate so I wonder if that's BS. This One Goes is kind of like Oracle on steroids.
