East Hartford, CT is getting a new brewery - sounds Fox Farm inspired.. Euro lagers and unfiltered IPAS. Anyone know anything about these folks? The website is still very light on information. Except for the $125 mug club memberships!

I'll try it. Talk is cheap (cheaper than a sight unseen mug club, at least!) but sounds like they'll be brewing styles I like.

google street view shows the building looking a little overgrown with signage as Paddle Creek Beer Co, est 2015. I never heard of that place. Hopefully Plourd can make a better go of it at the location.

Ah bummer, paddle creek closed? Little brick building tap room, I enjoyed that place. I was there last in maybe 2024.

This must be the guy... he wrote articles not only about Connecticut beer bars but also a spotlight on Fox Farm :sunglasses:

In the mean time Counter Weight posted a farewell for Tyler on their IG, it appears his most recent position was cellarperson at CW, and a "spring" opening has been mentioned in a couple new articles I came across.

really enjoyed my first visit! i'd not been to the previous brewery in this spot, but was a little surprised by the size of the bar (4 seats) and the taproom itself- it's small! plenty of parking on the side and behind tho.

tyler, one of the owners, was working the bar. swell guy, seemed excited. the beers i had (kellerbier, pilsner) no complaints although i felt the keller was great while the pils was simply good. i don't go for unfiltered hoppy so skipped the pale and hazy, but my friend liked them.

had no idea dude worked at tributary, the place and beers (including upcoming) reminded me more of that than night shift or counter weight.

they had salami sticks and chips but small hot food options are coming soon and food trucks should be a thing

i only have ONE gripe, and it's serving size-related..
0.25L "half" is $4. that is 8.45 oz and $0.47 per ounce.
0.4L "full" is $7. that is 13.5 oz and $0.52 per ounce.
    why? ...
so for $8 you get a full 16.9 oz half liter of lager, or you can spend $7 and get 13.5 oz?

ditch the 13.5s for lager (keep for hoppy maybe) and increase your half pour price IMO

thanks for listening to my rant. cool place, i'll be back.
