The better option for the environment isn't clear cut.

How would they keep the edges from being too sharp and cutting your lips?

the outter upper part extends up farther than the average can, creating a lip thats not close to the cut part

Bottle or can, its still Sam Adams. You can repaint a Chevette to look brand new but, in the end, its still a Chevette.......

Good. Sam Adams is exactly what it should be, a solid fridge filler. For the price it's fantastic to have as a fallback, or when you have a ton of people over and don't want to serve them light lagers all night. Their variety is massive, and while not exceptional they're definitely solid to have around.

The cans are fantastic. I like how the lip rolls out so the beer flows smooth. Plus, the Octoberfest can design is pleasant. All they need next are the double vents at the top and bottles that have vortex necks and we'll be set.

with the full top opening you could drain pour it faster, giving you more time to contemplate your beer taste superiority....

First off boston lager got me into craft beer but I found that drinking out of this can my lip kept getting caught on the opening which is semi-sharp. Maybe I'm not doing it right but I hated them.
