From Facebook, it looks like they last canned at the brewery on Wednesday, June 4. If the 16-17 days thing I've heard holds true, would probably put their next canning day around either Friday, June 20 or Saturday, June 21.

Does anyone know if they can on Saturdays ever or do they traditionally try and do it midweek?

Thanks for any help. Planning a trip to the Portland area in a few weeks and would love to check it out when they're canning. Was gifted a couple cans from a friend, and I thought it was a really good IPA, would love to get my hands on some more.

    Thanks in advance!

When I was in Portland (end of April) they canned on a Saturday.

They def. Do different days. Whenever its ready is when they can. Recently its been Wednesday/Saturday.

Sometimes the vault in Lewiston has cans from the last batch sitting around. I'd call before you go. Doesn't seem to move quickly out of that shop.

Edit: If all goes well I am getting a keg of this on the 19th. Would make you think that the canning would be around the same time, +/- a few days.

That is awesome, enjoy the keg! Re: the older cans, I would not hesitate at all to pick up cans from the previous batch. Call me unsophisticated, but I still have a couple cans left from the April 26 canning and they still taste delicious.

I just got back from the brewery. Hester told me the next canning day is this coming Thursday, the 19th.

Makes sense that's the same day my keg is coming in! Cans and kegs galore.

Sounds like I'll miss it by a few days then. Anyone have any idea if I went to the brewery on Saturday, the 21st, if I'd still be able to buy cans/case? Or if you miss the canning day, are you SOL?

Their Facebook page says they will be selling cans this Saturday, limit one 12 pack per person.

What time do these sales kick off? Do they begin at 1 PM, which appears to be their regular Saturday tasting room opening time, or does the sale begin earlier?

I wouldn't count on it. FB states they will be canning today+selling 12 pack limits per person out of brewery today and sat, looks like sunday hrs begin next week. Local retail accts around town have been selling out within 24 hrs of delivery as of late, can't speak to how Bissel allocates percentage of each batch for brewery sales vs distro.

Looks like I'll be coming through town one weekend too late to grab this. I'll be heading through the Portland area on Saturday morning the 28th. Maybe I can do a hold order at one of the stores mentioned above.

Greg has been great about answering all my questions and providing information. I plan to bring him a little something in appreciation and will be sure to see what else he has. Need to limit my buying if I can as I am also headed up to Montpelier tomorrow for some VT beer goodness!
