Wanted to pass along a little surprise I had this weekend. Went to a wedding in the Upper Peninsula this weekend in the Houghton/Hancock area. Strolled into a local joint called The Library. Amongst their brewpub beers they had a few Bell's tap handles. I asked which they had. To my utter shock, the response was Hopslam and Black Note. I almost suffered a mild heart attack. What a great weekend!
You came all the way to the Keweenaw and didn't stop out and see me? Shame Shame! The Library has had Black Note on tap since early May...We will be tapping one in early September, along with some other goodies. We just a got a barrel of BCBS in too, not quite sure what to do with it though.
I really had no idea what I was getting in to going up there. I was just expecting to pound Widow Makers. If I have to travel that way again I will be better prepared!
Adam, when you coming up? This is a real option...Mike and I are tempted to just throw the S.O.B. on, invite a few of our friends we know will appreciate it and do just that, sit on the deck, sip BCBS on tap, and laugh with gitty excitement.
8/4 to 8/19, but we won't be in GSB for the entire two weeks like we have before. I am not necessarily privy to a lot of the details, except to know that we will be in EH for a week of that stretch. I was only kidding too, I'll be more than happy to drink all your other beer!
Keep me updated on this, brother. Amy and I are heading to the Keweenaw sometime this week so we will stop by.
Steve, you missed the Black Note keg, but Bourbon County 2012 is going on Friday...SOOO, I would suggest making a stop then. $5 for a 6 oz. pour. Drink up buddy.
Thanks Frank... Heading north now... We are a seasonal business, April thru October. Come back next summer!
