The Veil Brewing (2020)

I've not even made an attempt at purchasing knowing it's a lost cause but the comments are a good read to break up the day. One person who commented had a great idea instead of loading everything you want into the cart only to have one (or more) sell out as you are trying to complete the transaction and needing to update just pick one bottle you want per day and try to get that one only. Better chance to get through ordering successfully. Then the next day try for the next bottle you want.....

Based on how much longer release stick around in NFK I feel those ordering through there will have slightly more success but not much. Maybe items will hang around for 1-2 minutes instead of 30 seconds.

 

Maybe I'm thinking of another brewery but didn't Veil do a lottery system for some release a while back? Those interested submitted their name / email and then if selected by random draw they received an email with link to place their order? I thought they did but then again maybe I'm thinking of another Virginia brewery.

Of course this is a no win too as people will just submit entries from multiple email addresses.

We’ve come up with a new way to go about Anniversary bottles online thanks to your feedback! Starting tomorrow we are putting the rest of this week’s Anniversary bottles all online at once with a new drop-down in each individual product to choose what day you will be picking up your order (similar to picking the size of a shirt). Pickups for this week’s release are available till Saturday, June 27th. For future releases, the 10 days from order date for pickup will still apply. Starting next week there will be an additional option for full allotments. See below for an approximate inventory of what is left for each brand. ⠀

Here’s what to know: Note, this new process only applies to Anniversary products. ⠀

-We’re dropping all of this week’s Anniversary bottles at once tomorrow, Wednesday, June 17th starting at 8am⠀
-The new drop-down gives the option to choose what day you want to come pick up. The drop-down applies to both Norfolk and Richmond anniversary products. **If you don’t see the day you want available, that’s because that day has filled up. Please choose another day.**⠀
-There is still the required field for notes at checkout. Please note your preferred pickup time for the day selected when you add anniversary beers to your cart.

 

Much better today. Although the bottles didn't show up until a few mins after 8am they are all still available 6 minutes later ....and counting.

 

Spk too soon. Apple Brandy just Sold Out. Other 2 still available...

EDIT: 8:11am. Special Vanilla now gone. Just Bourbon remains

 

I'm guessing you had multiple items in your cart and one (or more) of them sold out as you were checking out. The whole transaction is impacted. Would be nice if it still let you check out with the bottles that are still available instead of having to go through the process all over again.
