Absolutely love MS! I really do wish they would make their flagships true and be available on a regular basis. Gonna grab some this weekend myself. Maybe also Eternal Shredder3 too for comparison.

They've gone the way of Benchtop/others, just pushing out single hopped versions of stuff, which I really don't care for. "Here's ChartreuseMiata, using Experiental Hop 13579ItsASecret"

I know this was a common complaint for awhile, but to be fair they have made Shredder (or variant) & the Idontever series available pretty regularly as of the last few months. Those don't sell out as fast as the nonsense beers, and I know in Norfolk some kind of shredder can has been available for a bit without much of a lull. Personally I buy those two series more regularly than the X hoppy beer of the week.

Interesting you have that impression, they are doing a single hop variant rotation with Proven Theory, but aside from that, what else?
They do 2-3 cans per week now and IMO they do a solid job of rotating the same staples - squirrel, the "zillas"; gong series, etc. Those beers seem pretty consistently made to me. I think Benchtop is still super underrated, they put out better hoppy beers than tons of big name breweries.

Or maybe I'm just a biased local since I live down the street.

    Shipping to PA opens Tuesday.
    __________________________

Pennsylvania shipping will be going live starting this Tuesday at 8am. All of our current releases will be available to choose from to create your own box of 3x 4-packs. Due to Pennsylvania’s restrictions, customers will only be allowed to have no more than 3x 4-packs in their entire order and no more than 1x 4-pack per brand. Please keep this in mind when building your box and checking out. The system will not let you checkout or add to cart unless these specifications are met. ⠀

**Pennsylvania allows no more than 192 fluid ounces (12x 16oz. cans) per month per eligible PA resident. No more than 96 ounces (6x 16oz. cans) of a specific brand may be shipped to a single resident per year.**⠀

**We ask that you please help us in keeping compliant in PA by only placing one order per month. Any additional orders will be automatically cancelled and refunded with the exception of a $5 processing fee for the misplaced order.**⠀

Odd. Must be a PA thing. Gonna be pretty difficult to order 1 1/2 4pks... Unless laws have been updated since 2017 here's what I found. Near the bottom of Page 3....

"A DBS license permits its holder to ship a maximum of 192 fluid ounces per month of any malt or brewed beverage upon the order of any Pennsylvania resident twenty-one years old or older for such resident’s personal use (not for resale). No more than 96 fluid ounces of a specific brand of malt or brewed beverages may be shipped to any one Pennsylvania resident within one calendar year. 47 P.S. § 4-448(b)."

Forest Hill location closed due to staff getting COVID

    ____________________
“We have recently learned that a member of our Forest Hill staff has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual started experiencing symptoms after an exposure on 1/14 and immediately removed themselves from work to quarantine.⠀

We are prepared to handle this and have followed or gone beyond the CDC/VDH recommendations for this situation. ⠀

Below are the measures we will be taking for our staff and our building to ensure we can safely operate again:⠀
    ⠀⠀
    1. All staff members at this location will be immediately placed in quarantine and get tested. They will not return to work until it is safe for them to do so per CDC/VDH guidelines. ⠀
    ⠀⠀
    2. We will be closed at our Forest Hill location until further notice. We will perform a thorough cleaning and sanitization of our entire space with the help of professional cleaning companies.⠀
    ⠀⠀
    3. We will continue to monitor the health and symptoms of our staff daily at the beginning of each shift as well as maintain our already thorough cleaning procedures. ⠀⠀
    ⠀⠀
We look forward to being back and operational soon as it is safe to do so!”

Better to be safe and close i guess, but this will probably keep happening for a while. It gets pretty busy inside so I only stop in to get to go cans. Once it gets warmer I'll stop by and sit in their patio space outside.

The Veil 5th Anniversary labels have leaked on Untappd and it looks like they are following up the sugar fest that was this years Dark Daze with a second helping of the beetus. Incredibly disappointing to see the direction this brewery is headed. Once producing some of the best BA stouts and barleywines coming out of the state they have sold out to the pastry crowd and I feel are turning into Other Half. They might as well open up a candy store at this point.

The more words in a beer name, the more you can charge?
I'd guess that a few of the especially silly sounding ones are going to be the really limited raffle type.
Either way, I agree, they are leaning too much into the beetus stouts, how about some balance. Bring back cognac SF.

Pretty sure the Veil adds the beers to Untappd but completely agree.

Here's the best one...I predict a low bottle count, high price tag and gold flaked wax.

Opulence Eternal Slumber - A Blend of Imperial Stouts Aged in Laird's Apple Brandy, Maple, and Bourbon Barrels conditioned on Caviar, Truffles, 24K Gold Flakes, Double Bananas, Double Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, Chocolate Syrup, and Cherries

Wow. Someone opened up the pantry to see what was sitting on shelves and decided to throw it in some likely very good BA beers looking for a money grab and seeing how many variations they came come up with. Once a brewery gets past 3 adjuncts or even hops added for that matter I begin not to look forward to them.
