Even with a lot of chatter in the groups hyping up (imagine that!) Chubbles there is absolutely no reason to show up early today. Rain is doing a good job of keeping the early arrivals away. Last update / guesstimate is around 50 people with an hour before open. All cans should last well into the evening. Same goes for the shirt and glass most likely. That being said, I do think Chubbles will sell out before the end of the night. if it doesn't then very few will make it to tomorrow.

Quite a lot made it through to today (Wed). Even more Chubbles II than I was expecting. Tough to see in the picture but I'm guessing 50-55 cases remain.

I bet they still have Snozz crowlers.

Joking aside, that's a ton of Personal Space and Casual Drinks. Very good chance cans last til Saturday.

Galaxy is my favorite hop so i hope that one lasts! Any thoughts on the quality of Triple Crossing if their Friday release lasts?

Thursday's cans...Pic appears to show only about 10-12 cases of Chubbles II left but the 2pp limit is high for that. Probably just want to sell through as much as they can. Casual and Personvl should almost definitely last until Sat....along with Snozzired Crowlers.

I'm gonna be passing by for the first time Sunday at noon. Any chance I'll be able to grab any cans or crowlers? Do they fill growlers?

The Veil does not fill Growlers or Crowlers on demand. With what was left yesterday there is a good chance Personvl Space and Casual Drinks cans linger around until Sunday as well as the Snozzwired Crowlers.

EDIT above. I complete read over where they did mention selling out of Snozzwired Crowlers (29) last night. While possible, I'm not sure I fully believe that.

    Tomorrow's releases...
    ____________________________
Jimothy (DEBUT) is a new 8% DIPA with a bunch of flaked oats hopped 50/50 with Citra and Columbus. Full bodied, dank as heck, full of fresh citrus rind and tangerine flesh. Shooting for 210-225 cases. $16+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person.

Single Origin Coffee Hornswoggler (DEBUT) For this Hornswoggler(our house 7% robust chocolate milk stout) variant, we teamed up with fellow Richmond roasting company Blanchard's Coffee Roasting Co.. We sampled a bunch of their single origin offerings and really dug their Colombia El Obraje. Notes from Blanchard's on this coffee:"Colombian coffees tend to feature a mouth-watering juiciness, and the El Obraje does have that quality, but it is secondary to deep, rich, raisin sweetness combined with a baking spice note. The coffee is jammy and reminiscent of chess pie, with a lingering, sweet aftertaste." We used 3x times the amount of coffee on this batch of Hornswoggler than we did with Snozzwired. This is just EXPLODING with intense coffee both on the aromatics and palate. Shooting for 180-200x cases. $17.50+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.

Kevin from Sales is a 5.8% sour IPA hopped exclusively with 100% Mosaic. Lemon acidity, dank/citrusy aroma, peach, passion fruit, grapefruit. Refreshing! Shooting for approx 90-110 cases. $14.50+tax/4-pack. 4x 4-packs per person.

Step Step Dad Dad is the double dry-hopped version of our 8.5% DIPA Step Dad Chaperone. Hopped exclusively with 100% Mosaic hops and hit with an insane double dry-hop. Notes of peach, tangerine, papaya, subtle dankness, melon, and joosey, resiny good good. Shooting for approx 190-210 cases. $18+tax/4-pack. 1x case/6x 4-packs per person.

Finally got to visit The Veil on Saturday. Went after lunch at The Answer. Both were amazing and I can't wait to come back to RVA for a proper weekend and not just a single night.

I'll be in town on Tuesday the 26th. It's my understanding Veil does Tuesday releases? Is there a big slow moving line or is it more chill? Probably depends on what's being released, right? Do they allow bottle sharing?

Also planning on hitting Answer for lunch and Triple Crossing. Anything else I should do while in town?

Some people will probably line up but its unnecessary, you should he able to get there around 6 and get whatever you want with no line. See a few posts up for release info. No bottle sharing is allowed.

No bottle shares in line. With how releases have been going lately and cans lasting several days I don't see a reason to show up early and standing in line. The Answer does not open until 4pm on Tuesday as does Triple Crossing. If you are not keen on waiting in line I would hit those up first then head over to The Veil 1-2 hours after opening and probably bypass much of the line. There's two Triple Crossing locations. Downtown (Foushee St.) is a few miles and probably 10-15 minutes closer to Veil/The Answer and you can get Crowlers and growlers to go on demand of just about anything on tap. The Fulton location does not do Crowlers but I think they do growler fills. Both should have cans if they have them available and update their website daily with availability and taplist. I personally like the Fulton location but tend to go to the downtown spot when in RVA on non can release Fridays just b/c it's more convenient

Mekong would be my suggestion for lunch. It's the same building as The Answer but the front facing Broad Street. Same ownership as The Answer with awesome Vietnamese food and their taplist is equally as impressive as The Answer. They don't serve Answer beer but you can get Andalls (Their version of a Randall). The Answer also does Crowlers of their Joose (and sometimes a stout or two) on Tuesday as well.

I would also recommend Final Gravity Brewing. It's a homebrew shop that also puts out very good beers. They open at 11am on Tuesdays.
