Crazy that they managed to sell so much despite that monsoon (was anyone else on 95 during that? it was an absolute mess). People must have went all-out with their CCTT purchases. I grabbed 3 of it and 2 of the Young Lions, but saw pics of people walking away with multiple cases. Early indications suggest that the CCTT is amazing -- anyone care to weigh in? I didn't have a chance to try it yet.

That's one of their lower release day sales I think. 283 sold total. I wonder how much the weather played into that? I also think it's clear that demand for the brand new DIPA releases is significantly lower. I am surprised they had any CCTT left but personally I'm buying/asking my friend to grab less each week in case the next week has something I want to stock up on - maybe others have a similar mindset?

I love CCTT (only had one) and think the nose is unreal, and the feel is about perfect. Looks about as good with a bit less lacing than fresh CT I think but the biggest difference for me is a higher bitterness (perceived at least). It's nice but it's a bit more dank/brash/abrasive than CT and covers up a bit of the juicier notes. I think it's fantastic, just not sure I like it more or as much as CT but I've had only one at this point.

I liked Young Lions but I'm glad my friend grabbed me 2 CCTT and 1 Lions - I think it might get a bit better in a few days. I found that to be the case with Major Rager.

Major Rager gets better every time I have it, I wish I had more than 2 cans left.

I'm not really happy with the Broz Night Out though, its just boozy and bitter, not what I like to drink.

That seems about right - when they did the last double batch of CT they had 11 going into Wednesday and sold them in minutes. If Young Lions had been a single batch or been around before with a following (like Idont) I'm betting it would be gone by now too.

CCTT is rad, definitely got a lot less bitterness on the one I had last night.

I definitely wish I had more of those. I didn't really like MR as much at first but a week+ out it was just so much better, softer, a little less green etc.

I thought Broz Night was a perfect Citra bomb when I had it in the first couple days, by the first weekend it got grassy and oniony but that went away around 1 week+. Glad I drank them all then if they didn't get any better!

It's sort of amazing to me how much some of these beers change in just a couple days.

Max of 20-30 Jackson Flavor Crowlers will be sold today at opening per post on Veil's page. Not like they would make it through the night but also mentioned these would be available tonight only. 1pp.

Did anyone else make it yesterday to try Jackson Flavor? I have been reading posts on social media and many are flipping their cheerios over it. Most are the same people who go every week and always have positive things to say so a lot of fanboys/fangirls I expect. I saw pics posted and while it is a beautiful looking beer I find it hard to believe that a Mexican lager can be that amazing. Anyone who had it what makes it so much different than the typical mexican beers we think of.

Gotta keep that Richmond hype train going, Mexican lager or not .....

It's good for what it is, and a nice beer to crush in the heat. Thoroughly enjoyed it for the style, but not something that needs to be activley seeked out unless you really dig those American adjunct lagers. I also am not one to keep the hype going on the Veil, in fact, most of their DIPA's finish way too boozy for my liking. Everyone over there is incredibly personable though, and that's why I will continue to support the prodcut. I also think it's pretty cool that Matt made that beer for a good friend whose favorite style is the mexican lager.

Hope I did not come off at knocking Veil or even the beer itself. I definitely enjoy the experience the few times I have gone and they not only make solid beers but are truly genuine people. Just based on some of the comments I saw posted it seemed to be a little over dramatic. Now some of the comments and ratings on that other beer checking app was more along the lines of what I was expecting for the style.

I do not think they have ever fully revealed the complete hop profile other than saying "mainly Citra"

2 of Tuesday's release cans have been announced with at least 1 more to come.
    _______________________________________________________________________________
This Tuesday July 26th will be the return of our beloved flagship IPA Master Shredder! ⚡️

We will be releasing FRESH cans and draft of this awesome batch of Master Shredder. We will actually be filling some kegs of this for Reverie Distribution to send out into our local market(limited quantities). With that said, there significantly less cans than normal for double batch IPA's. Shooting for some where between 150-180 cases(as opposed to 220+ cases we normally fill for double batch IPAs). $13+tax/4-pack. NO LIMIT.

Never Enough is a 4.9% Gose with Montmorency cherries and black lava salt. This one is a straight fruit bomb. We went crazy on this one. We did over 6 times the amount of fruit as Crucial Aunt. We ended up adding a total of 630lbs(75 gallons) of Montmorency Cherry purée. Smells like a straight up cherry pie. We tried to also make this the most acidic kettle soured beer we've released and have done just that. The black lava salt adds a really nice complexity and minerality to the beer. This is one of two ‪#‎pinkdranks‬ that we will be releasing this Tuesday. Shooting for approx. 105-115 cases. $16+tax/4-pack. NO LIMIT.

I was wondering when they would release a Gose or Berliner. This sounds awesome.

Heading out for the release tomorrow & hitting up the Veil for the first time. Given that batch quantities are smaller this time around what time would y'all folks suggest getting in line? Arriving in Richmond around 12:30 and going to grab lunch at Mekong then really no plans afterwards! Any advice would be great!

Hit The Answer next door after Mekong. The house beers are just as The Veil's IMO, and the Andalls are ridiculous.

As stated above, def come back to The Answer after grabbing your cans. Triple Crossing would also be an excellent choice!
