I would have to agree with this. I have helped one of my local breweries on a couple occasions when ODMC comes to do their canning. It was done in a single day. They show up a few hours earlier than canning is scheduled to begin for equipment setup. We've started canning around 9am and it ran until probably 3-4pm if I recall. One of those times we canned 2 different beers. Both coming from a 20bbl. Probably took 20 mins or so for the switch b/w the two batches.

Heard from a shop owner here in Va. Beach that we were getting distro here fairly soon , maybe in a few weeks . Hope it happens but I don't see it happening for a while .

After having Master Shredder and Crucial Taunt I can say the clear winner for me is MS. Definitely not feeling Crucial Taunt. Weird aftertaste. I would drink Master Shredder all summer.

I liked both but Shredder was also a clear winner for be between the two.

Circle of Wolves, and English Barleywine hit the taps today. Less than 25 gallons, so it will more than likely not last the week. I believe there will also be three options for cans this week. Need more Shredder for the fridge.

I heard the same. No Crucial Taunt cans for a while but there will be Shredder returning as well as a new DIPA and rumor for the 3rd is a sour DIPA.

Swung by Friday night for the first time - tried Crucial Taunt and IdontwantobeU on draft. Both were top-tier delicious, but wow, pours were expensive.

Info just posted about tomorrow's release

    "~INFO FOR TOMORROW'S CAN RELEASE-TUESDAY MAY 3RD~

Tomorrow we be selling cans of a fresh batch of Master Shredder(our flagship wheat IPA) in addition to brand new beers. Here are some info on the new beers:

-Bob from Marketing-Sour IPA-7%. This is a kettle soured IPA with Amarillo and Nelson hops. The intent of this beer was for the acidity to be just over subtle. This is not an acid bomb, mouth puckering sour beer. So if that is what you are looking for, you might be disappointed. Please keep that in mind before purchasing. Slight funk on the aroma with some citrus(no actual fruit was used in the beer) in there too. Very pleasant acidity with a ton of hop character and pleasant subtle bitterness. Drinks like it's 4%. In my opinion this tastes extremely similar to grapefruit juice. If you are not into grapefruit juice, it might not be your thing. Just a forewarning. Cans(in limited supplies) and draft will be available starting at 4pm tomorrow, Tuesday May 2nd in our tasting room.

-Dirt Nap-Double IPA-8.8%. This is the first double IPA that isn't Crucial Taunt that we've produced. Hopped intensely with Citra, Moasic, Galaxy, and Nelson. Aroma/flavor profile is insane on this one. We are extremely pleased with the final result and we hope you will be also. Cans(in limited supplies) and draft will be available starting at 4pm tomorrow, Tuesday May 2nd in our tasting room.

Please keep in mind that these Limited Release batches are exactly that. We may or may not make these again, so make sure you get them while you can.

Also, these cans are ONLY available from our tasting room to ensure the quality/freshness is carefully considered.

We still have limited supplies of an English Barleywine called Circle of Wolves(10.8%) on draft only. Circle of Wolves was brewed with a destination for Four Roses bourbon barrels. We had a touch more beer than barrels, so we decided to keg it off to showcase the base beer as a preview of what's to come. The result is a full bodied, Carmel, toffee, fig, not cloyingly sweet barleywine that we are stoked on.

Limits and pricing on cans will be announce tomorrow post canning. We hope to see you at 4pm tomorrow. Cheers!"

Limits posted a few minutes ago.

"We have approx. 120 cases of Master Shredder. $13+tax per 4-pack; THREE 4-packs per person.

We will have approx. 60 cases of Bob from Marketing. $14+tax per 4-pack; TWO 4-packs per person.

We have approx. 60 cases of Dirt Nap. $15+tax per 4-pack; TWO 4packs per person.

We have a bit more beer total than last week and have decided to drop the limits a bit to help get the cans to more customers"

Circle of Wolves might be one of the best base English-style barleywines I've had in some time. For 10.8% you can taste a drop of alcohol heat and the caramel/toffee is massive but never too sweet.

I agree with this and also think once they get through releasing brand new cans every week to where it's CT & MS on a regular basis they are going to have problems with remaining cans carrying over from week to week. They are going to have to send it out to distro so there's no overlap at the brewery. Just see yesterday's release they started with 120 cases of Master Shredder and still have 54 going into today. Now that's still a great sales day for a week day even while selling the 120 total cases of the new beers. I fully expect them to sell through those remaining cans over the weekend at the latest but at some point they will have some leftover into the following week. Maybe they would send those leftover cans into distro to a limited number of spots just so there's not fresh and week old cans for sale in house?

If offered a Dirt Nap to drink, I would not turn down that offer. :grimacing:

So much love for crowlers - this is awesome. Hopefully their "test" goes very well!

I got a couple crowlers of Dirt Nap when they opened Saturday. Damn good beer! Matt said the hope, if things went well, would be to potentially do pre-filled crowlers on Saturdays. I think the idea is to help out those who can't make the mid-week releases.

So are the Tuesday can lines still building up early or is the mad rush starting to die down some now that they've been open for a few weeks? I'll be cruising by Richmond on my way to NC tomorrow, figured I might as well take advantage of actually being in the area on the right day... but since I have another 3 hours of driving I'm hoping to get in and out with cans as quickly as possible. Best guess on when I should show up there?
