The Veil Brewing - Richmond

Hi - my friend is on the road heading over to Veil this afternoon - does anyone know if there are still cans available from Tuesday's release?

Also wouldn't be surprised to see Naissance (13 mo. spontaneouos) to show up on tap sometime next week as well. And I can definitely see some cans being available next Sunday. Don't think everyone will be maxing out their allocations on things like Dirt Nap and Crucial Crucial Aunt Aunt at the Anniversary party.

I'll take that as official enough that there's a release, and 2 cans sounds right given how much they're doing for the party.

 

I agree, even if people max out they're only pre-selling/allocating 150 cases worth for the party. Last time they brewed those beers (white ferrari, dirt nap, and CCAA specifically) they all had higher yields, somewhere between 180 and 210 cases. So unless they're kegging that much more and only canning enough for the 900 4 pack allotments I bet there is a good amount of those brews going into Sunday. NNFF, Sleeping Forever... might be some but I wouldn't count on much.

 

I would guess they probably are kegging a lot more of those beers than they normally do, because of the party and because they've been running low on draft a lot. Plus they make more money on draft sales than they do on can sales, if you look at it strictly on a $/oz basis (I know time is a factor too).

#ladyBrozNightOut (DEBUT) is our 100% Citra DIPA Broz Night Out with a bunch of hibiscus added to it. Same awesome base with a touch of herbal/earthy character, subtle acidity, and a beautiful red color. Shooting for 150-175 cases. $16.50+tax/4-pack. 3x 4-packs per person.

Due to our anniversary party this upcoming Saturday April 22nd's release, we will not be having a can release on Tuesday April 25th. We might be releasing some limited crowlers that day and debuting some special draft. Stay tuned for more info on that.

 

Here's hoping for a solid tap list week after anniversary event since no cans on 4/25. Will be visiting 4/27-4/29.

And anyone going to the Anniversary Party on Saturday and has a VIP ticket someone just posted that the early pick-up for your allotment is changing to 7am-10am instead of the originally planned 9am-11am.

Might want to wait for the official update of that info but the guy who posted did show a screenshot of the email he received from Veil. It's not updated on their fb event or website event details yet.

 

I think that's a really smart move on their part. As someone who can't make the early pick up I thank anyone who does because it's fewer people trying to grab the allotments in the sessions!

Really looking forward to this, it feels like they're as organized as they possibly can be. Now just hoping the rain holds off.

 

Will do. I spotted the post on Behind the Veil as well. I suspect they'll post an update tomorrow or Friday with any changes and maybe even some surprises. I can hope anyway. They love surprises.

 

Right now I just wanna see the map of how they're laying everything out.

Here are a few updates for this Saturday April 22nd's one year anniversary celebration y'all!

The VIP early allotment pick-up window has now been moved and extended. It was originally 9-11am. We will now be holding the early allotment pick-ups from 7-10am. Promptly at 10am, even if you are in line, early allotment pick-ups will stop and you must pick up your allotment during your session. Friendly reminder that all tickets are non-transferable, so people who are not on the will-call list cannot pick up your allotment for you. If you purchased two tickets under one name, you must have your guest present to pick-up the two allotments. We added an extra an hour to be able to properly process everyone in A sufficient amount of time. It was also a little too close to the opening of the gates for the first session. This will also help us expedite the check in process so everyone should be able to walk right into the gates and enjoy.

This event will be rain or shine. We will have adequate coverage(in terms of tents) for the outdoor space. We highly suggest you all keep an eye on the weather individually and bring rain gear if need be. We will not have coverage for the lines before the event on the side-walk.

Also, friendly reminder. If your name is not on the will-call list, you will not be allowed access onto the grounds. If you purchased two tickets under your name, you must be present to get your guest in and you must be one of the attendees. You cannot sign in two guests under your name and then leave. There will be no exceptions and we cannot logistically make changes to the will-call day of. Again, tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable. No exceptions.

All ticket holders will be guaranteed 1x 6oz pour of each of the following beers with admission to the event grounds:
