This will be the 4th week with cans. Last week some people started showing up at 1:50. By 3:00 or so, I was told there were about 50 or more people in line. That said, people who showed up at like 4:45 still got everything, I believe. Considering you'll be driving elsewhere, it may be best to show up earlier than 3. They will have Crucial Taunt and a special release beer tomorrow in cans. Not sure if they are doing just those two, or adding a third. Though keep an eye out their Facebook page, as Matt will post the options at some point today. Enjoy your trip!

As long as they are releasing never before released cans each week I expect the lines to form earlier and earlier. Tomorrow with 1 new can and then the return of Crucial Taunt after being out of cans for a couple weeks I expect it to once again be very busy and people lining up early.

Thanks @Shilt and @TomCat11. I was kinda figuring I'd get there around 3 to be on the safe side. How quickly does the line make it through once they open?

Hoping I can knock off here early enough to get down to Mekong for lunch and a couple of Andalls first; at least that would make the waiting in line a lot more tolerable. :sunglasses:

I honestly have not been to a release yet. Just have some very nice friends who have helped me score some cans but I think the line moves pretty quick once 4pm hits. I have heard very little, if any, complaints about their process. I saw a post last week from someone who said they were about 30th in line when showing up at 3pm each of the previous couple weeks.

Do they have cans or crowlers for sale on Fridays or Saturdays?

If cans last til the weekend then they would still be for sale but I wouldn't count on it. I fully expect the new can (Broz Day Off) to sell out either today or tomorrow (if their short release history is any indication). I'm guessing they will have at least 110-120 cases of Crucial Taunt and that will also likely go quick since it was on hiatus last week. Last Saturday was the first time they did Crowlers and they said it was "testing out" their machine. Best thing to do it keep an eye out on updates through their social media channels. They have been very good with communication of how much, when and what they have each day.

IF they have crowlers it will be pre-filled only, and only 1 per person (total, not per beer/style).

limited release cans generally have been selling out day of release, with Master Shredder/Crucial Taunt (if canned) sometimes available the day after

Adding on. They had Master Shredder (120 cases on Tuesday) that lasted until about 5:30 or so on Friday evening.

They'll almost certainly be sold out, there are lot of people here and not a whole lot of beer.

I thought Broz Day Off was fucking great, I'm in Richmond for work right now, I'll probably go back tomorrow and drink some more.

it actually took longer for them to sell out yesterday than previous can releases have taken.

I normally can't get there after work till about 6. last week the limited release was already gone then. yesterday it didn't sell out till almost 7:30 or so... at least they are ensuring they keep enough in kegs so if you miss the cans you still have a reasonable opportunity to try it on tap.
    not complaining.

I think they found a pretty happy medium yesterday with the 80 and 95 cases, along with the limits. Also, they seem to be speeding up the selling of the beers by having people pay in line if they are only there to snag cans and go. Definitely love when a brewery tries to make the process more efficient. That and these beers will almost certainly be avialble for the week on draft.

It's usually pretty chill. If they end up offering Crowler fills this weekend, it may be a bit busy at open, but then be fine. I was there at 1 last Saturday, an hour after they offered crowler fills, and while there was a good amount of people there, you could get a beer right away.

No new beers canned this week but higher limits as well as more total cases canned. With any luck these will last more than 24 hours.

"~INFO FOR TOMORROW, TUESDAY MAY 17TH'S CAN RELEASE~

Tomorrow morning we will be canning 2 fresh batches of hoppy beers. We will begin can sales at 4pm when we open for normal service. We will be releasing our two flagship IPAs in 16oz can 4-packs.

We will be canning more than usual and upping the limits of these beers to hopefully ensure people from out of town can get a fair amount of cans. The following beers to be release are:

-Master Shredder-flagship IPA-5.5%. This extremely citrus forward IPA is insanely crushable. We love this beer so much. $13+tax per 4-pack; 1 case limit per person. Standard Master Shredder will not return for a few weeks, so get it while you can!

-Crucial Taunt-flagship double IPA-8%. This mainly citra double IPA is full of dank grapefruit, mangoes, melon, and is dangerously drinkable for its ABV. Another staff favorite. $14+tax per 4-pack; 4 4-packs per person.

Limits are per person, per day. Please do not try and get back into line and purchase another allocation. You will be denied.

Case numbers will be announced after our canning runs tomorrow afternoon.

These cans are ONLY available from our tasting room and will not see distro to ensure the quality/freshness is carefully considered.

More info including draft list available upon opening to come tomorrow. Hope to see you then! Cheers!"
