The Waiting Game

It all depends on how much beer you buy on the side, how much you drink, and how much your friends drink. The first couple beers do suck to wait on. You'll need more bottles and more fermenter space. Get a pipeline going and try to figure out how long 5 gal of beer actually lasts in your house. A 5 gal batch is around 2 cases and I usually go through 8-10 pints in a week at my house. That's a batch a month.

 

Keep some of that Suck beer around. It's a good way to compare how far you've come, and who knows, it might shape up into something in 6 months.
