Hey Guys, Just curious to see if anyone has opened one of these recently? How is it drinking? Is it at its peak or does it still have some cellaring time left? Just remembered I have one and wasn't sure if I should consume it sooner rather than later. Any thoughts would great, thanks! -Andy-
bruery provisions just did flights that included wanderer earlier this week. your best answer would come from someone who attended, cheers!
Wanderer is a great example that perhaps not all wild ales or sours should be aged. I did not review it but put it on my "Hads" rated a 5. I loved it. I've now had it several times and while it remains a good brew, it is becoming more and more "lacto" in the mouth; i.e., more and more of that "yogurt" flavor undertone is coming out. I love the beer but I believe that this is not one that will "improve" with more age. Yes, it will "get different" with more age and it's always fun to see "what happens" when our favorites age. Yet, it's not always for the better. JMO
Had one a few weeks ago and it was pretty awesome. Can't compare to fresh because it was ny first taste, but I would think it will remain pretty awesome for years to come...
