The wort whirlpool direction

    Thread hijack: Does anyone know if anyone has brewed beer in space yet? This will be important once we start sending people to Mars. That will be a long trip and they will need beer. Or the water may not be potable on Mars, and as we've learned from history, turning it into beer will make it drinkable.

    Seem to recall experimentation with yeast in zero gravity. Too lazy to use Google, but yeah I do believe yeast fermentation has been attempted in zero gravity.

    It was done on a space shuttle flight. The experiment made about a ml of beer, IIRC.

    The Mars travelers are going to need more than that. Sounds like they need to take a Brewie with them.

    When I drink too much beer the room spins. When I drink too much imported from the opposite hemisphere, the room spins the other way. :slight_smile:
