I've noticed that after i pour a beer, if i let the bottle sit for a few minutes, i can pour it again and get maybe another .5 - 1oz out of the bottle. I guess this is the beer that coated the side of the bottle when I turned the bottle upside down for the initial pour. I'm sure i'm not the first person to realize this but I noticed it about a few months back and I'm tickled pink every time i do it. Free beer.
Apparently you do not use chewing tobacco indoors. Otherwise, that "bonus pour" would have, at some point in time, turned out fairly awful if you failed to track your spit bottle correctly.
This, along with bees getting into my beer can while outside, are my two my biggest beer-drinking fears.
For better results, put the bomber on it's side after you've had your pour. For those of you who remember unclejedi, his wife taught us this trick (a real, live rocket scientist!) It had something about the greater surface area of the glass gathering the remnants of the beer. Usually there's enough for a small gulp afterwards.
Lol. As someone who hates waste (and a gross recycle bin) I let the bottle hang out and then pour the last dribbles as I get toward the end of the beer. Ah, beer geek neurosis.
I shake all my bottles into submission. No wasted beer, nor Angel's Share! Those Angels have enough, I want mine's! Beeyatch!
I almost always do the same thing OP, especially if it's a nice, tasty Belgian or German. More yeasty goodness for me!
