Hoppin' Frog BORIS or Oskar Blues Ten Fidy are thick, easily accessible options IMO

Blackmarket Brewing's Black Hole Sun is pretty viscous along with Founders Imperial Stout, Ten Fidy, and BCBS.

I had '16 Parabola the other night.. It was disgracefully thin.

Putting bcbs up against kds spice wars right now. Not. Even. Close. While the KDS feels like I am drinking liquid marshmallows, the bcbs is decidedly thin for the gravity.

Another vote for Older viscosity from Port Brewing.

I could be wrong. I'm going off memory and I don't remember Rusty Nail being that thick but it has been awhile.

I'm going off memory but I remember this feeling heavy in my mouth. Heavy and viscous. It would be fun to try EMJ, BCBS, Rusty Nail, and Ten Fidy side by side.

    Ten Fidy would likely win.

    This.

I think a lot of people are confusing a beer that is rich in flavor with actual viscosity.

Bcbs is far and away more viscous than anything I've seen mentioned in here. EMJ and the ten fidy varieties are more viscous than most stouts, yes. But bcbs is still in another league.

Wws, kbs, abyss, etc... come on! Yes, theyre loaded with taste and/or high abv but not they're not exceptionally viscous.

I agree with your assessment of Selassie. I managed to find a single bottle and while I enjoyed it, the feel left something to be desired. It almost felt more like an American stout then an RIS.

Haven't had too many big stouts, but had a pour of Perennial Sump the other night.. On par with anything else I've tried in terms of thickness/weight on the palate.

Perennial stouts seem to have a black color that is so unique. It is like black paint.

I think Cigar City has the thickest stouts, but Perennial makes them so black. Awesome stuff.
