Coming in early Feb we have the first ever bottle release from Third Rail Beer in New York, NY. Alternate Side is an Imperial Stout brewed with chili peppers and cinnamon.

    From Third Rail:

Our next new beer, Alternate Side, a chili pepper-infused Imperial Stout expected to check in at 8.1%, is sitting in the fermentor as we speak, and should be ready for an early February debut! In addition to a limited number of kegs, this beer will be our very first bottle release, in 22-oz bombers.

Brewmaster Loren Taylor-Raymond says “Alternate Side is a bold Imperial Stout brewed with a blend of specialty dark malts that deliver a full body and rich flavors of strong coffee, dark caramel, and spicy rye. As those flavors fade the smoke and warmth of aging on Guajillo and Chipotle peppers and Mexican Cinnamon reveal another side to this complex beer.”

I'd love to try. Anyone interested in La Cumbre, Marble and other New Mexico stuff and that has an extra bottle, please let me know. Same goes for that BA BQE from Finback.

Heh, I would, but I'm expecting to receive my New Mexico box tomorrow. Cost me a Backyard Rye too.

Nice. Someone in New Mexico is trading well. Did you find that Backyard Rye recently or have you had it since the release in '13?

I found a bar with a stash of bottles while there (NYC) in December.

They "unofficially" had this at One Mile House at their release party. We couldn't check in, as it wasn't a licensed beer yet, but damn, it was delicious. Was hoping it wouldn't be much longer until they got this to market.

    Hi all!

Really appreciate the enthusiasm. We're also very excited about Alternate Side!

For any of you that might not be familiar with us, we just did an interview with Where's The Beer NY. One item that got cut for space is that in addition to Alternate Side, we're looking into options for packaging our year-round beers as well.

    Cheers!
