Anyone else been over to Superior for their pizza and beer? I was there on Saturday and was pretty impressed with their beer list which included 3 of their own sours. I tried them all and enjoyed the barrel sour brown enough to pick up a growler of it. Just wondering if other MN BAs have tried their beers yet and what you thought...

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Amen buddy stop on by! I am thinking of popping that bad boy next week. I would liken it to love child #3 but I preferred the pagan version personally.

Of course he does ask if any "MN BA's have tried their beers yet" and being on the border town of Superior the thread could "swing both ways." Sorta like Hudson WI does in the Midwest thread, thankfully!

Their pizza kicks ass.....I thought the beer was much improved when I was there around Memorial Day...decent...not as good as Fitger's or Bent Paddle or Canal Park but much better than it was before.

Good feedback zap. I haven't been to bent paddle or canal park yet. Pagan had a nice coconut stout and 3 sours along w their regular line up which was also quite nice. I will have to try the others you mentioned. They are on my list!

Fitger's is fantastic IMHO, plus I go there for the wild rice burger every chance i get!

I very much enjoyed Canal Park's offerings. Nothing was great to be honest, but none were horrible either. Solid without being spectacular…Fitger's is much better all around. Have not had anything from Bend Paddle yet.

This has me excited to head back over to Thirsty Pagan this weekend! I have really only had their regulars, sours and coconut sound swell!

We went to Thirsty Pagen a couple months ago. Yes, very good pizza and beers. I enjoyed the sour on tap, and am excited to try the two new sours. I also bought a couple 750 ml bottles of their barley wine, which were autographed by the brewer. When I settled with the server, she wiped down the bottles, and off came the autographs! Funny...nice choice of magic marker.
