I gotta say, this is one boozy IPA. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but I'm curious about the high abv (8.9%). I love the fact it's characterized as an IPA even though the booze factor certainly creeps into DIPA status.

The fact that it is served in pint glasses (available in 24 oz mugs at Homefield Grill for the price of a 16 ounce pour if you're a Mug Club member) makes me a happy fellow.

Does anyone know what dictates the serving size of bigger beers in Texas? I assumed wrongly that beers over 8% were served in 10-12 oz pours.

    Thanks!

What dictates serving sizes? The bars that they are served at.

I like it. For some reason, I always thought it was Texas law to serve smaller pours for higher abv beers. Good to know it's the bar's choice.

I remember when Billy's used to serve Yeti in pint glasses for $3 during happiest hour. Those days are gone.
