This One Goes to 11 - NC

Don't know for certain, but I don't recall seeing any of the Batch X,000 beers in NC before. Not to say this one won't be here, but history says no.

 

I did...just very small amounts.

 

The Oracle small or less? Most stores around here were selling that 1 bottle at a time.

 

I saw Oracle around here on draft in very limited amounts here in Charlotte this year..CM had a keg and I feel like I heard some shops got bottles (I never ran across any)

 

Not in bottles but Mellow Mushroom in Winstons is tapping a keg on Tuesday 10/09/11

 

I had 9000 and 10000 at Sams on tap.

 

Now that you mention it, I remember 10k draft in NC. Never saw bottles of either. There's hope yet!

 

A certain beloved local bottle shop has had bottles of the 1,000x batches and Oracle.

 

I'll ask our Bell's distributor in SC next week if there's any headed this way. Or maybe Gothedistance will see this and let us know

 

Batch 9000 and 10,000 were legal to sell in the state, but only on draft. I don't know how true it is since I never saw bottles, but I heard it was because beers >6% have to have their abv on the label.

 

that sounds about right. I remember Sean and Win talking about that.

 

NC labeling law does require ABV to be listed if it's over 6%

 

I know some shops in SC got some last week, not sure on NC unfortunately.

 

wouldnt be surprised if its sitting in a warehouse, and will until christmas.

 

We got insanely tiny amounts. I was allocated 2 cases to specific accounts, both in Columbia.

 

Won't help much, but my regular store in SC got a whopping 1 case last week it's well and gone.
