Well of course. It's our version of the traditional Southern kissoff, "...bless his/her heart." You can say any rude thing you wish about someone, but with that little tagline on the end, everything's okay. You're simply saying that their opinion smells worse than a two year old bottle of Heineken sitting on a rock at Sand Beach or that they're dumber than a Bud Light Chelada fan, but we love them anyway, bless your heart.

    Cheers!

Yes it sure does. Read as much as you can under Beer 101 and in the forums etc.
Try as many different styles as you can, even if you don't like them, keep trying!
Prepare to have a very light and empty wallet...well as a matter of fact just empty it right now and throw it away as ya won't need it any more.
Also, there's TONS of cool guys & gals on here that will be more than helpful!

Above all else! Remember it's just beer, enjoy your tasting journey.

A beer shooting range sounds like a terrible waste of beer...

    :grinning:

To the OP: I'd add more, but you've got a page and change worth of some really good advice regarding many of the different aspects and subcultures of the BA community. So instead, I'll say if you're ever planning to be in the Kansas City area, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll show/tell you about the good spots to grab a brew around here.

    Welcome!

This is good advice if you just joined or have been here for 10 years!

Take advantage of the homebrew forums if you home brew.

Also when you visit different cities or towns take a look at the places page for breweries and craft beer bars. I always do before I visit a city or area.

@motor - Which aspects of this community are you most interested in/excited about? We see these 'Hi, I'm new here, what's up' topics come up now and then, but your enthusiasm is unique for your stage in the journey - maybe a little insight into what most interests you can help us focus the discussion a bit.
