So gentlemen, what British and Irish beers and ales are we quaffing this evening, and what's on the menu for the rest of the weekend?

I've got lots of beers in at the moment, including 10 bottles from various Quebec microbreweries that I traded with BA Papat444 in Montreal last weekend.

That should say 9 as I had a Le Naufrageur St Barnabe stout last night and it was excellent!

Beers from a French province will go very nicely whilst watching Sundays six nations clash!

Shhh this is the UK and Ireland sub forum! :stuck_out_tongue: I have Untapped Triple 'S' stout, Williams Bros Scottish Joker IPA and Seven Giraffes Extraordinary Ale, The Durham Brewery Cloister Premium Bitter, and Newmans Brewery Cave Bear Stout. Add in a M&S curry and my Dad's Army box set and I think we have the makings of an excellent evening!

I read the above and wondered what YOUR dads, army box set had to do with the evenings plans, thinking your old man had some sort of beer related box from his military days !!!

    Then I got it

And no, I haven't had any beer yet - but I hope to be in the Cask in Pimlico in just under an hours time for a quick slurp :stuck_out_tongue:

Sorry folks didn't see this, upgrading the old internet and getting a new wifi thingy (sorry to get so technical)

Kicking off with Butty Bach and then signalling the fleet to pipe on board the Admirals Ale AHOY!

I had a relatively heavy night last night so I'm drying out tonight. Got some beers ready for tomorrow though. I finally got to try the Fullers Double Stout yesterday- wowzers!

Once the wife and kids are down for the night I'll probably opt for a Coke Zero while watching Scott Pilgrim. Five days and counting until the antibiotics end and the taps can flow again.

I was so tempted to order some of that but I really don't want 12 bottles! (ordering from fullers is my only feasible way of getting some) Unless anyone knows if cask will be coming to Wales...?

How much you pay for that? Thinking the Fullers Brewery is a tad expensive at £4.25 (I seem to recall) per bottle!

I have been on the look out for some Mikkeller and so far like Magic Rock and Kernel it has escaped me but I have me some Thornbridge so things are a looking up.

I will go with the flow and if my pub is a little too classy for you scruffs I'll take my tie off and wear it like a bandana and join you lot :stuck_out_tongue:

it's in Sainsburys, so if you live anywhere near a big-ish store you might get lucky.

Must dig out my receipt, but remember thinking it was a tad on the steep side! Although I did get 15% CAMRA discount to cushion the blow a little!

I'll take a look in my local Sainsburys tomorrow, we're a shade under 20 miles from the brewery so must be in with a shout?
