    No - that's not the one that Paxton or I are referring to, we are talking about the double stout. The XX is the other of the 2 past masters. Not had that one.

    Just a couple of pints of York Brewery's Terrier this lunchtime, very nice without being demanding.

    I've always rated Terrier as a tasty session beer, don't get York brewery beers down here too often!

    Blimey, not front page news or the biggest thing since sliced beer but just picked up for tonight
    some Bateman's XB
    at 99p per 500ml bottle, also grabbed at a staggering 69p for a 330ml bottle Lucky Buddha beer
    which will probably taste worse than the Dalai Lama's sandals but came in a gorgeous green Buddha shaped bottle.

    have started early with a nice Saison. Although it does insist on calling itself 'Ceci n'est pas une Saison'.

    Post decorating therapy with a La Vache Folle - Imperial Milk Stout (not a session beer at 9%) and don't worry, I'd never heard of them before I traded it in Montreal last Sunday

    I found and drank quite a lot in Norfolk last summer-usually the Guzzler , another nice pint.
