Surely Zimbo has a better idea than me.

Doesn't matter now, I accidentally knocked it over so 90% of it is now soaking into the carpet and giving the room a nice hoppy smell.

    fml.

Rust is not a good sign. Means the beer's suffered from being oxidised though it doesn't always affect the taste as much as you'd think.

That's real bad news if you are a viking :stuck_out_tongue:
Each drop represents a year in purgatory.

    Thanks Zimbo.

And tbh i'm more worried about what the uni will think about the stain on their carpet... :slight_frown:

My local beer specialist has a range of Mikkeller bottles - they finally arrived a few months back and are steadily taking up more and more shelf space. Many are eye-wateringly expensive though; I'd love to try I Beat You but I'm not paying more than £5 for it. However there are a couple of new additions that don't cost quite so much....

Oh dear. Not sure about the rust - I've seen it a few times on the rim of the bottle mouth where the cap is crimped on, but never the cap as a whole. Can't say I've noticed it correlating with anything bad.....but perhaps I was drunk.

Yeah jeff that's what I was trying to describe haha. Not alot it just made me think is this pretty much the same as the bottle being left open...

Mikkeller has rarely let me down with one or two exceptions and I've never felt like I've been short changed

I do think Nogne 0 are generally a notch higher

They don't knock out anywhere near as many beers as Mikkeller but I think the quality is just that little bit better

Got beer from New Zealand, Iceland and Corsica. None of it is lager! :grinning: Also found Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA.

The Mikkeler do seem to be a bit hyped up in price. I bought a bottle of their Black from BoE 3 years ago priced at £9.99 for a 37.5cl bottle. They had it in stock again last year I think at £8 odd! aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Just had the Ruthless Rye this weekend past - thought it was a fantastic beer! Tasty malt with nice aromatic citrus.

Was nice to see a new Sierra Nevada beer making it's way to our shores too  Though i'm rather looking forward to the Corsican wheat beer.
