Anyone heading up? I'm looking to make the 5hr or so trek up early Saturday morning and the long drive home the same day. I know they don't allow any bottle sharing/drinking while on line, but if anyone is interested in an IP trade let me know.

Enjoy man. I couldnt justify going up for just 1 bottle and some Heady, not with the whole Founders Breakfast/Stoutfest going on in Worcester the following weekend.

For those who might be trading, this individual is a solid guy.

Thanks for the endorsement. I was having the same issue considering the single bottle limit but since every beer HF makes is usually as good if not better than everything I've ever drank I said fuck it. I'll stock up on growlers and Everett bottles and grab a case of HT. It'll be a long day of driving but a great day of beer gathering.

And fill your stomach hopefully with Double Sunshine at the Black Back. If E was being released this weekend I would have seen you up there.

    Blackback afterwards is a given.

Check out the Prohibition Pig, which replaced the Alchemist.

Good call, as a matter of fact I would not even bother stopping at the Black Back, The Pig has a better beer selection and southern food to die for.

Owner of Blackback was in Pro-Pig last night eating dinner - if I was you, I would try to support both of them. All small businesses in Waterbury took a hit with Irene, and there are lots of beers at each place that compliment each other's tap selection.

Went to the Prohibition Pig over the weekend and wont be back. Beer list was impressive but the food was just ok and the prices were awful for the portions. (5 Chicken Wings for 8 dollars is insane)

We tried going but they didn't open until 4pm for food service and we were starving. The beer list did look good but the food, like you said, looked a little pricey. We wound up hanging out at the Reservoir for a bit instead.

The beer list looks better than "good", and this comes from an Oregonian. I'll be interested to try the food when I'm back in the area. The prices actually look really reasonable to me, but I haven't seen the portion sizes.

I def wanna give it a try. When we first walked past it before they were open all you could smell was smoky deliciousness. We were actually kinda bummed that we weren't able to eat there.
