When the bruery web site says brewery only does that mean its only on tap? or you can only buy a bottle there or what? thanks!

Our infamous Black Tuesday is an Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels for over a year. Rich caramel, toasted malt, vanilla, burnt wood, anise are just a few of the many flavors of this rich, decadent imperial stout.
ABV: varies, IBU: 40, SRM: 100+, Release: October (Available at Brewery Only)

On the topic of who can drink the most...I like to do what I call the M3 challenge. A bottle of Melange No. 3 must be drank within 2-2.5 hours without you actually passing out. I've won twice...barely.

Got a bottle of 2010 BT in Paris, maybe Emily and I will see what we can do with that...she's come around as far as Imp. Stouts go. At CBC she drank the shit out of Special Kay...go figure!

You obviously have great taste! While I love drinking everything fresh for the initial experience, BT is a wonderful example of a beer to age. When I first tasted it before it was released, I decided to order some because I was a "wine guy" and I'd finally found a beer that would be fun to age and see what happened. I initially cavalierly stated that it "could age for 30 years!" It was hyperbole but I may have been right! It drank wonderfully, then went through an awkward "soy sauce" period, and is now better than ever and keeps improving. Whether you like it or not, BT is a fun beer to age and watch the changes. So far, the changes have been great.

You can only get it at the brewery (or their Provisions store.) Last year, you had to purchase it online (3 bottle minimum) and then pick it up in person (no delivery.)

You don't have to be a member. They're releasing up to 7 bottles to members, and then sometime later there will be an online sale for the general public. I don't think they've announced the limit, last year it was 3. They sold out within minutes, I believe. They are $30 each.

When you buy it you can specify a trustee who will then ship it to you. A number of BA's offer their services as trustees for varying "fees". Some just want a shipping label, others want a box with some beer that they'll use to ship to you (and a label).

No, the membership (the Reserve Society) only offers an early buy. It opens to the public in late October (the historical "Black Tuesday", if I'm not mistaken, but they'll announce it ahead of time.) I'm not a member, but I was able to get online, register and secure the three bottle limit. It bogs down a little because of the number of people trying, but it's not impossible.

And 2011 prices were around $30 bucks per bottle.

Am I the only one that doesn't really think this sounds like a challenge... Like at all?
