    The science behind brewer's yeast strains is pretty interesting. I read on the Narragansett website that their lager was brewed with the same yeast strain in use since the 1930s, which I found surprising since the brand was practically dead while in the Pabst portfolio and figured they would have used whatever "house yeast" Miller was using. But hey, maybe.

    cool article.

    in micro lab we always called the "slants" not "slopes". I wonder if that is a mistake or a difference in jargon between the US and England.

    The article is worth reading just to learn about the NCYC, but poor Megan, she is completely clueless about beer and brewing.

    There was some cool info, but the writer definitely needed a refresher course on beer and brewing.

    i was really excited until i learned it would be way too expensive to buy samples for homebrewing purposes... still a cool project though
