Hey guys I need your help here. I have recently come across about a dozen of these that I am looking to acquire from a family friend he has been cellaring and would like to unload them. Is there any trade value in these? I know it's a very niche market. Just wanted to get some ideas from the community! Prost!
Always people who value these old Thomas Hardy's (like me! ). Guess it depends how much you're giving up to your friend to get em.
Thanks for the input guys. I have a feeling the guy may want cash in exchange. That's what it's sounding like so I'm unsure of what I really want to do here.. Haha. Hopefully I can work something out with him.
You may want to BM @lookrider , as he traded a boatload of late '80s Thomas Hardys over the past 6 months and he could probably give you some indication of what he got in return.
OP, I've had a great time trading my bottles of 1986-89 Hardy's. Offers were all over the place but people who wanted them traded nice bottles for them. I got Bruery stouts, Jester King sours, some Cantillon, DDG, BC's, Parabola, Heady, etc. - very nice beers. I've kept some to drink also and that's been really enjoyable
Awesome guys thank you for the info. Im hoping I can get some of these for consumption and for trading!
Don't know if Thomas Hardy's from my birth year even exist (*bones creaking*), but as stated before, I'd certainly be interested in these guys if/when you manage to acquire them.
I'm certainly interested in the 1985 if you put them for trade. Have plenty of stuff I'd give up in my cellar link in my profile if you want to look.
I'd be pretty interested in acquiring some birth year beer.....would be a fun addition to the collection of birth year wine, whiskey, and armagnac. Let me know if you end up getting these.
If this thread has any life, I'm interested in getting my hands on one of these for my Birth-Year Tasting!!! Any leads???!
