Just out of curiosity, how did you swing that?

Yeah, unfortunately I wasnt able to get my ticket at the time of release and pay the normal price. However, the way I was able to get my accommodations for free was that I used Hilton hotel points, National car rental points, and I'm working in Chicago the following week, so I decided to take an earlier flight and my job is paying for that. In all, it worked out well even though i paid a premium for the ticket.

I too managed to swing a business trip around DLD. Definitely makes it a lot easier to go!

Wow if I am able to drive, I am going over there post-DLD. That however, is not likely

Would be awesome if they had DL on tap too

I agree. It worked out well for DLD, and I'll also be able to hit up Hill Farmstead's anniversary party in May because of work. That will also be a free trip.

Dammit, why didn't I wait to buy the tickets... 100 per ticket for 2, one of which I had to trade, and still didn't get the world for. Live and learn... to be patient and less of a pushover...

So I am still trying to find last minute tickets, but thinking that is a lost cause. I think our group may head to Chicago for the weekend anyway and stop by 3FLoyds on the way home Sunday. I am not expecting DL or anything like that when we get there, but does anyone have thoughts on still being able to get a case of Zombie Dust to bring home with us?

If you get to the brewpub on Sunday in any sort of reasonable time, there will more than likely be DL on tap, as well as leftovers possibly from DLD. As far as them having ZD, I imagine they will have cases left... but with 6000 people there, it's possible they'd sell out their most popular beer.

Well if they have DL on tap that would be a bonus, worst case is we go home with basically any of their everyday beers that we can't get here in Michigan.

They usually have DL on tap for the morning at least after DLD. If you get there early enough, you could very well be able to order as many pints of DL as you'd like.

How early do they open on Sunday? I thought the website said noon.

Then noon it is! (there will be a lot of locals who normally would be there at noon, which will be incapacitated from the drinking occurring on DLD)

I would not pay more than face value for a ticket. Just on principle.

Don't I wish. It's the keg cellar at New Holland Brewing.
