What is everyones opinion on aging their beers?

I have both a shelf and a wine style rack, so my main question is whether to store upright or on its side? Both capped and corked?

Upright for capped. Not sure about corked, I've been wondering that myself

I've heard upright for cork, as the cork can taint the taste of the beer

From what I recall lambics are to be kept on their side, maybe all corked beers. Depending on how long you are cellaring I would think storing everything upright would be the safest way to start. For me it is simple - bomber cases to keep bottles upright while protecting them from light

I have no particular expertise on the subject, but the consensus from everything I've read is that beers cellar best upright. The Bros had this recommendation on the cellaring page (which I believe is still inaccessible, but I'm not sure). So, upright for everything!

Beers with a cap, upright. For corked beers, I'd go on their sides. If that's the way Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen do it, then that's good enough for me.
