Been several years since I've been up that way for a night, but nice to know that once things settle down Blackback becomes the chill spot to just hang out and crush delicious beers. I never got why more people hung out at the other two while Blackback had the same or better tap list, and a low key vibe.

    That sucks.

Edit: not because I don't like tulips but because pour size and value for customer must suck. Why do you guys accept this as the standard?

Why do you serve a 5.0% pale ale in a tulip? What's the pour size on that?

I get where you are all going with the pour size thing, but 5.0% or not, do you really think that HF kegs are priced like other 5.0% pale ales.

You need to decide if you would prefer a $7 13oz. pour, $9 16 oz. pour. This is more of a perception issue from the retailers stand point. If their board has many affordable drafts listed (not matter what size) they have a great reasonably priced tap list . If they are loaded with $9 + drafts (once again, no matter what size) people call them over priced.

They are in a no win situation, all I ask is that the pour size be listed right next to the price

I guess it's all what you're used to...

Coming from Boston my jaw always drops when I'm in VT and can get 10 or 12 oz of HF for $5.

Compare a tulip glass to a gyp pint- probably comes in pretty close.

I assume you are talking about a 14oz shaker pint - like the kind Cambridge Common used when I lived in Boston. But why compare to the worst possible alternative? Why wouldn't you compare to and expect a true 16-20oz pint for a pale ale or IPA?
