I was posting it for the gentleman that asked what the rant was on the label. It's amazing how many people on here are quick to jump on someone.

It was not directed directly (but rather as a general comment about the text on the bottle being a rant) at you but for the person that asked and posted the original comment on it being a "rant" - I just replied to you because it was the latest in that specific branch of the conversation.

I do not feel like I jumped on you about this - I did not say anything negative or derogatory about you (no need to be so sensitive this AM).

My apologies man. It's hard to discern the tone of someone through typed words. All is good!

I was turned off by their pricing in the past. I tried a 12oz bottle of Yin for ~$4, and it was a good stout. Picked up abottle of Lil B for around the same price, hoping it is good along with the Imperial Biscotti Break, I broke down and bought a bomber of this after hearing so many good things about it. Shit better be good

If I'm not mistaken Evil Twin recently expanded on the east coast as well as Stillwater. I knew Westbrook was where all the Evil Twin bombers use to come from, at least in this area. I've started to notice a lot more smaller format 4-packs from both Stillwater and Evil Twin as well as more year round offerings due to a new bottling plant somewhere in the north east. Lately, my shop regularly receives several beers from both breweries as well as a variety of kegs. Seems as tho the price point should start to improve and it already has somewhat if you consider the volume/price of 4-packs vs. bombers. At 3-6 dollars a bottle from the fridge its not a bad deal and makes it a lot easier to try a lot of these new beers.

Also, if you aren't familiar with them, there's another new collaborative project between Evil Twin and Stillwater called Perfect Crime. I just picked up some Hollow Point quad after hearing that its supposedly a Westy 12 clone.

Totally blown away by Spicy Nachos. Twenty Two oz. bomber brewed at Westbrook Brewery SC $10.99. Bought one, and after drinking it went back the next day and bought five more. I was shocked by how good the pale ale was beyond the spicy jalapeno kick (which was perfect). Not very bitter, but big tropical tangerine, pineapple, mango flavors. The huge fluffy white head is really impressive. An instant favorite of mine that I will be buying as long as it's available.

Gods, I missed bombers of Imperial Biscotti Break at a local shop by a month! I can't believe I was so close to having some within my grasp and I let it slip through my fingers!

No worries man... I thought maybe you were one of the folks (like several of my friends) that are required to work for free because of this government shutdown and was causing you to have a bad day.

I was turned off by their prices but I finally gave in and picked up a 4 pack of Lil' B and it was excellent. It won't be a regular purchase for me but I'll definitely pick it up again.

anyone on here re-purchase Evil Twin? I really love it and I have had Imperial Biscotti Break, Even More Jesus, Aun Mas Cafe Jesus, and Blaeber, but because of the price, I have NEVER purchased any of them more than once.

I have had 5 of their beers. Only bought one of each because of the price. All 5 were fucking amazing (I ranked them either as a 4.25 or 4.5). If you have the money, then they are worth buying at least once (similiar to Maine Brewing Company).

Yin, IBB, Even More Jesus, Cafe Jesus, Lil B

If they were more reasonably priced I would buy them by the case.

just out of curiosity why are their beers kind of overpriced? i feel like they would be making a killing if they didn't charge so much for their flagship stuff

I was initially a bit skeptical, but I've jumped on the bandwagon with every other beer nerd in nyc and become pretty infatuated with Evil Twin. And it's really not that expensive comparably...

If you can find Yin Imperial Stout and Yang Imperial IPA on draft at the same time, I'd recommend a black and tan... best I've had in my life. For light summer beer... the Justin Blaeber blueberry berliner weisse is awesome. I've never had anything dark of his that wasn't awesome. Soft DK (stout) is awesome. Lil B (porter) is awesome. The Imperial Biscotti Break like several other people said. He has an IPA called Falco that's only falconeer's flight hops and it's one of my top 10 ipas . Molotov Cocktail is an amazing 13% Imperial IPA w/ blood oranges. Spicy Nachos is ridiculous good if you're into that kind of thing... corn adjunct and jalapenos. The jalapenos taste like fresh jalapenos, not spicy artificial flavoring. All of these sooooo good. Can't recommend enough.

There's only a few things I've had by him that I haven't been super impressed with. The hipster ale is a pretty whatevs hoppy pale ale. Bikini beer tastes pretty nasty to me, regardless of what it's supposed to be. I'm sure some people will flame me for this, but I didn't find many of his femme fatale IPAs to really be anything special. The Femme Fatale Noir is maybe a little better, but most of the others are just okay. Cheers!
