A local bar just put their Red Rye on tap so I'm going to go check it out later. Not a fan of their porters or Harvest, but I generally like everything else I've tried of theirs.

Backwoods Bastard is one of my all time favorite beers. Also a big fan of Red's Rye. Do not care for Devil Dancer or Double Trouble. Everything else from them I really enjoyed.

Wish they got their expansion sorted out before they lept into new markets. The Harvest Ale and Backwoods Bastard fiasco soured a lot of people on them.

    Love:
    Double Trouble
    CBS
    KBS
    FBS
    Blushing Monk
    Centennial IPA
    Porter
    Old Curmugeon
    EDIT: Red's Rye

    Like:
    Frangelic Mountain Brown
    Harvest Ale
    Backwoods Bastard
    Devil Dancer

    Not a fan of:
    Cerise.

This brewery is of the top 3 for sure in my book and I look forward to drinking every one of their beers I buy.

    In no particular order:
    Centennial
    Red's
    FIS
    FBS
    KBS
    Backwoods Bastard
    All Day IPA
    Double Trouble
    Harvest Ale

What's the "fiasco" surrounding Harvest and Backwoods?

As a Grand Rapids resident, I am slightly biased, but the quality is getting better in my opinion despite the larger barrels produced. I'm looking forward to 2013 and the 4 new and old beers being released.

Some markets seem to have gotten a lot less Backwoods and Harvest than last year. Here in Milwaukee I could get both fairly easily last year, especially Backwoods. This year my usual spots only sold it by the bottle with a 2/customer limit.

I'll jump in on the Backwoods Bastard love, how about that delicious porter? Curmudgeon? The only beer that I have disliked from Founder's is Cerise, and I typically hate anything cherry flavored, save for actual cherries.

    Um, they're delicious?

I personally love everything Founders makes except Cerise and the Pale ale. Breakfast Stout is my number 1 go to beer. Went through a case already this season and it hasn't even snowed yet.

All that above for sure, and but nowhere above do I see another of their beers that I like just fine-- especially early in the afternoon or camping at some piney isolated location-- an All Day IPA sure has its place around here. Always usually a few around the fridge here too most of the time.

Founders is my favorite brewery of all time. The Breakfast Stout, Imperial Stout and Double Trouble are absolutely world class beers to me. Just so delicious and I can't think of a single beer from them I didn't really enjoy

I'm not sure this was Founders' fault, although I'm sure it was frustrating.

I don't care for Dirty Bastard or Backwoods Bastard, but that has a lot more to do with my general distaste for the style than the quality of the beer. I thought FMB was average. While hazelnut brown ales aren't exactly common, it wouldn't be the first I would reach for. I found Blushing Monk to be completely over the top, and I had no idea how I would get through the bottle until I paired it with a piece of chocolate cake at which point it became divine.

Beyond that everything else I've had I would say is very good at the least. As an aside, I think I might be the only person in the world that absolutely loves Cerise.

Heh, less frustrating, more "I only have these two singles so I'm gonna stick them in the fridge and see if I can try to not drink them both now and wait until next November to hopefully get more".
